We came here as part of our birthday weekend celebrations. I had heard the Chop House was one of the best restaurants in the Nashville metro area so we headed to the location in hendersonville. Arrived 35 minutes early to our reservation checked in and ordered a house old fashioned and a glass of merlot form the very friendly bar staff. Our table was ready before I could even close my bar tab. So far I was very impressed with the service, speed and attention to detail. We sat at our table and the waitress was there with waters before I could even taste my cocktail. When I did try the old fashioned it was good very balanced however they do make it like a Wisconsin/Michigan old fashioned so if you hate those ask them for a classic old fashioned. We shared a grilled chicken ceasar salad to start. It was ok but we added some buffalo sauce and it was really good. Ordered the prime rib at medium rare and the fillet at medium well(I know...I know). The prim rib unfortunately was cooked closer to medium and the aujus had a bacon flavor I didn't much care for. The texture and mouth feel were both very rewarding. Sides were the mash potatoes(decent but not hot) and the mushrooms which were the best thing she ordered. I had the filet and it was amazing. It was cooked closer to medium but I believe the chef did that on purpose and I apprecieate it. We ended up splitting the fillet mignon because we both didn't care much for the prime rib. I had broccoli which was blanched perfectly and the spinach which was very tasty. They knew it was a birthday and had prepared with a card and a desert with a candle. Very classy. On our way out we didn't touch the door the host was there. Throughout the meal glasses were kept full and plates were cleared promptly. The service here was phenomenal. We are still on the look out for the best prime rib in TN. Our next stop will be Ludlow and prime out in Brentwood. I would recomend this place for locals as for the tourists there are better steakhouses in Nashville but when you consider the service and the price(21-45 for a steak) it's a great alternative for a traveler staying on a budget but wanting an elevated...

Service was notwhat it should have been, were to occupied with watching all the prom goers comming into prior to prom. I was ran into by two different servers going to the bathroom, because they were so focused on prom dresses. My son had salmon which was over done. His father and I both had prime rib. We each ordered it cooked to different Temps, but both came out the same. Again our server was so occupied with prom goers he didn't notice until I pointed it out. Mine was under cooked, the other over cooked. By this time the restaurant was so packed, wait time for them to be redone would have been a long time. They did remove one meal which we were notified when the bill was dropped off at the table. Thankfully there was a water pitcher near by or we would have not gotten refills that I didn't do myself. I will not be returning due to the fact I spent 35.00 a person for a poor experience. Never been more disappointed and just so happy to leave. The table next to us had similar experience and offered to give me a tip for keeping their water filled as well. She had also asked for a drink that a different server said that's not on our menu but gave no solution to why they couldn't make a lemonade. If you are going to be busy like with prom events plan for it. Staff should be also trained to take care of their tables with distractions and cooks to know that rare, and medium well should not look identical when cooked. Fish should not be burnt on the edges while undercooked...

We are frequent diners at Chop House and LOVE this location.

We've had several wonderful dinners at this location and excellent service in the past.

Yesterday our experience was very disappointing.

Upon arrival to our table, I noticed the table was unsanitary with dirt and debris.

Our waitor took our drink orders and before leaving the table asked if I'd like lemon in my drink. I said no.

He brought all drinks to the table with lemon vs my request for no lemon.

We asked for our steak to be medium well.

The steak was not medium well AND was chewy, and so I wasn't able to eat the majority of the steak. The steak was also burned black, so if I did find an edible piece of steak it was charred and burned which made the whole experience underwhelming and incredibly disappointing.

We also ordered the Creamed Parmesean Spinach and somehow, the spinach was undercooked! I don't understand how that happens.

The potato was fine, and the macaroni was fine, but the steak, spinach, and drinks were so botched I didn't have much food that was edible.

We spent almost $100 on our meal and left our waiter a generous tip even after our order wasn't correct.

We trusted that this was going to be an excellent dinner and experience and ended up having our time and money wasted.

Chophouse, please...

Restaurant was located in a strip mall with shared parking, but was able to find parking. Started with a couple drinks ( cabernet wine and espresso martini which where good) and the deviled eggs (which were just ok, candied bacon was best part but had large chunks of green onions in them not for me). For entrees we had the ribeye ($38) and prime rib ($30). We both got salads with our entree (House salad and Ceasar salad) both were ok but the lettuce in mine tasted alitte dirty. My wife's ribeye was cooked perfectly and looked amazing, along with cream corn brulee which was sweet and savory. I got the 8oz prime rib which was cooked great but had a large amount of fat, probably about 3+ oz. I had a baked potato, while it was decent size, it had a unwashed/ dirty taste. The atmosphere was mild and restaurant was quaint, but kinda tight in the booth area we were in. Servers (Barbie) did a pretty good job of keeping the table flowing and everyone was engaging. All in all the food and quality was subpar. Nothing knocked my socks off, it was over priced.
