I have lived in Hendersonville, TN for a very long time. I have frequented Taziki's in my town very often. I have enjoyed the food; especially the lamb, pimiento cheese, and the basmati rice. I also love the baklava. I am disabled and nearly all of the restaurants I patronize have curbside pickup. The Taziki's in Hendersonville, TN also had it until a recent change in management apparently.
I spoke to a very polite young man who took my phoned in order the same way I have always phoned in my orders. I paid for it over the phone; also as I have in the past. When I got to the restaurant to pick it up, I called and got a woman who was telling me they no longer do curbside pickup unless a patron puts the order in with Doordash.
She stated the young man should not have taken my card to charge me and should not have told me I could have curbside service. This woman was rude and condescending. She gave me my order which was missing the tea and the two baklava I ordered. I brought that to her attention. She said it isn't on your order. The ticket attached to the bag was not showing the pricing and those items were not on it.
I believe that was because the ticket on the bag was only for the "cook" items. I did manage to make it into the store with difficulty as I have issues walking and am on oxygen. The polite young man gave me my tea and baklava at no charge as he knew he had already charged me. Before the young man came out, I heard a commotion in the area of the kitchen. A woman and a man were talking loudly to the young man in an abusive way. The young man was very upset when he gave me my remaining items. He seemed very uncomfortable and threatened and had words with the manager in front of the patrons at tables and standing waiting for their to go orders.
This young man worked at the location in the past and I remembered him well. This person who said she was a manager has not been there long as far as I know. I had never encountered her before. She did not look as if she were a manager. She was wearing unkempt clothing that appeared dirty and did not look professional at all. The polite and thoughtful young man would be a better manager!
I was very disturbed by the whole experience.
Unfortunately, I will not be visting Tzaziki's again after this. All of the restaurants I frequent in Hendersonville, TN have curbside service where I can call the order in and they bring it out to my car in curbside parking. I never have to order through Doordash if I am picking it up curbside myself. That would include, Chops, Carrabas, Cheddars, Casa Veijo, Red Robin, Safaris Brick Oven, Texas Roadhouse, and many more. She made a point suggesting it is not legal to prepay using a card over the phone. That is completely incorrect. All of the restaurants above do exactly that or have a website where my card number is kept on file for me to authorize online. They bring me my receipt when they give me my order.
Why should I have to order through a service that is not involved with the pickup? The food is already expensive and I certainly am not going to pay a fee on top of that just to have your store personnel bring...
Read moreI’ve reached out to management twice regarding our issues and have yet to hear anything.
We’ve ordered Tazikis through Uber eats multiple times and the past three times the food has been wrong or gross/old. The fruit has been old and shriveled, among receiving other incorrect food items.
Tazikis can’t seem to get the order right and the staff has blamed it on Uber Eats but they are not the ones cooking the food or preparing the orders. When I talked to a manager the first time after the third time in a row receiving bad/incorrect food, he said he would email me a gift card- never received it.
Called the second time to speak to a general manager, never heard back.
This last time, uber eats delivered our kids drinks with the straws already in them and again, incorrect items in our meal. The straw thing is a safety/food violation - you cannot put opened straws in drink cups and let them ride in the car exposed and be delivered by someone (who wasn’t wearing a mask) and expect that a customer would want to still drink out of what they paid for SAFELY (especially during Covid times) - especially in kids cups and expect our kids to still drink it. I have the whole experience videoed on my doorbell camera. The Uber Eats delivery driver said that’s how she picked it up from the restaurant. Very unsanitary and unsafe. Plus again, the food was incorrect.
I have yet to receive the gift card I was told I’d get for the issues we’ve had the last three times and have yet to hear back from management. I’ve tried to be as nice and as patient as I can be but three times in a row - I feel like something should be done especially after being told something would be done and then...
Read moreUnlike the Taziki's in East Memphis or Germantown, the Bartlett Taziki's near N.Germantown Pkwy has a drive-thru. It even has a larger fenced in outdoor patio with decorative overhanging lights if you fancy that cute or romantic ambiance while you dine outside. The staff is helpful if you have questions. There is a Taziki's app to aide you in keeping track of your frequent customer points/credits as well as ordering your food ahead of time. If you do not use the Taziki's app you still can receive credit for what you purchased by letting the cashier know you want to put your phone number in (their register screen that they turn around for you to imput) right before or right after you buy your items. Employees encourage calling in your order or ordering online but are happy if you order and dine-in or use their drive thru. Every time I have been to the Bartlett Taziki's they have been busy, so I recommend being aware of the time you will need possibly to wait to order and wait to receive your food. Alcoholic beverages are available for those who dine-in. There are handicapped parking spaces available in front of the entrance as well as boosters and high chairs for younger children. Diaper changing tables are also present in bathrooms. Straight up, Taziki's Mediterranean Cafe offers many, many, many filling and extremely tasty options on their menu. The presentation, color, aroma, quantity, taste, and low cost of Taziki's food will...
