Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Hermantown

Early this evening went through the drive-through gave my order, a 1/3rd pound double cheeseburger and a medium pepsi, she acknowledged but then I had to repeat it.... keep in mind they were not being slammed, there was only one vehicle ahead of me & 2 or 3 in the lot. Additionally after each time I placed my order I very clearly said " and that is all" Referencing that is the end of my order But yet I was still asked if there was anything else I wanted. I got my order and I am few miles away from there at a different location when I open it and here I have I have a Deluxe double cheeseburger, I have a slight allergy to onions, so that worked out just great! Clearly she wasn't listening when I was giving her my simple order nor when I said that was the end of my order...twice. It's just frustrating when just the very basics of listening fall to the wayside. We need to be off auto pilot and actually paying attention to what the other...

I work nearby, so I've been here many times. I usually get a cheeseburger lunch combo which is a pretty good deal. The burger is tastey, which a juicy Patty and fresh veggies. For me there fries are only alright, (I like mine a little more crispy) but they do have the best ketchup packets (the kind that you can dunk into) if you have to go through the drive thru.

I did have one terrible experience that I will mention. My car broke down in their drive thru! It was a mortifying experience, but thankfully the DQ staff helped me make the best of it by pushing my car out into the lot. They didn't give me a hard time about having to leave the car until after work, and were generally reassuring about my trying time. I really appreciated their help and understanding in my...

The service at this location is generally handled by high schoolers. They are very cheerful, helpful and friendly. I haven't ever had a bad experience over the past 3 years of going to this location.

Food is DQ. If you've had it, you know what it's like. I'd say it's more fresh when it comes to fries and onion rings and other fried items due to how busy it is, which is great.

The outdoor seating isn't the best. You have to sit close to the vehicles idling waiting at the drive through. Not ideal, but it does the job.

Bathroom is always clean and the tables are as well.
