I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration regarding a recent experience at one of your locations. On 8/6 I visited the Hermosa Beach store and placed an order that included a serving of fries. Unfortunately, I did not receive the fries I paid for. This oversight was not only disappointing but also inconvenienced my dining experience.
To make matters worse, I was subsequently contacted by a member of your management team, who offered a refund of only $3.48, which is the cost of the missing fries. I must say that this response is not only inadequate but is also deeply insulting. It implies a lack of concern for customer satisfaction and completely disregards the inconvenience and disappointment caused by your establishment's mistake.
I had been considering making a shift from my usual choice of Chick-fil-A to Starbird due to the appeal of your menu offerings and the potential for a positive experience. However, the way this situation has been handled has made it abundantly clear that your company does not prioritize its customers' satisfaction and does not value their loyalty.
I want to emphasize that this is not just about the monetary value of the fries but rather about the overall customer experience and the respect you show to your patrons. As a result of this disappointing incident and the dismissive response from your management team, I have decided to continue patronizing Chick-fil-A and will no longer be visiting Starbird.
I urge you to reconsider your approach to customer service and to take this matter seriously. It is my hope that you will address this situation appropriately and take steps to ensure that other customers do not have to endure similar disappointments. Until I see a clear improvement in your customer service and a genuine commitment to rectifying such issues, I will not be returning to Starbird.

Read moreMy sister and I went to Starbird for the first time tonight. Housed in the historic California Sushi and Teriyaki (Cat Sushi) building, Starbird is a clean, modern chicken eatery. One has the option to order at a kiosk or at the counter and can choose from an assortment of chicken-focused items including sandwiches, tenders, and wings.
We both opted for the hot chicken sandwich which comes with pickles, yogurt sauce, and optional coleslaw, and we split an order of fries. The sandwiches came with a very generous portion of juicy, tender chicken that was well battered and well fried. Spice level was perhaps a 3-4 which was just fine as neither of us wanted a challenge. Fries were unremarkable but we ate them all. There is a wide selection of house made sauces offered at no extra cost and their fountain beverages are all sweetened with cane sugar. The cashier had good vibes and the food came out fast, and the clean decor helped really keep the emphasis on the food.
All in all this was a good first experience. I don't typically write reviews but Google is stroking my ego telling me that I'm "in the top 20% reviewers" whatever that means, so they hooked me on writing this.
