E.T. Surf Shop in Hermosa Beach is hands down the best skate and surf shop in the South Bay. I've been shopping here for years and purchased my very first skateboard at E.T.—the staff was incredibly helpful, super friendly, and very knowledgeable.

If you're a first-time skater/ surfer they will help you. If you're just getting started, skip the prebuilt boards and go to E.T. for a custom skateboard.

Great Vibe, Fast and knowledgable customer service. When I came in to check out the boards they had, I was amazed at how many selections there were at the start. I was greeted by Tommy and basically told him, "I'm brand new and starting out with skating" and he automatically knew which board for me to get. He picked out this awesome long board and it was like... Harry Potter finding his wand in the first movie, I pretty much knew that the board he picked out was the one. Reasonably priced, I purchased the board and was on my way out. Honestly, was expecting to sit down and talk out what my needs were for being a beginner and thought the process would take a lot longer but...
