Hyderabadi Biryani Pot — Restaurant in Herndon

Not once or twice Or thrice, it’s a total of 4 times that this place has delivered a bad chicken lollipop or tandoori chicken order. Never going to order here again. They are always under cooked and does not taste good.

"Hello YVS Kumar, Thank you for your review and bringing the issue to us. Can you please share your order number and date? We understand your frustration but would like to remind you that different customers have different opinions on how cooked their food must be. Please mention the level next time you order in any restaurant. In this case once you get back to us we will be more than happy to compensate you in one or the other way."

I can't believe he/she is telling me that I should mention how cooked my food should be which is funny because in a lollipop, the batter outside is crunchy and burnt where as the chicken inside is raw and under cooked and these are not eggs to be said well done or half boiled etc. Make some sense guys. Do they really think I will hold on to the receipt with order number and date. Common I don't want that food one more time even if it is...

Want to try the food here because our Indian friend was visiting. We ordered chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, chicken kabob, and veggies biryani We tried Indian food from time to time at different restaurants, and they were all fairly tasty, so we had the same expectations when we ordered here. Their entre portions are small for the price, only get a few chunks of chicken for both butter chicken and chicken tikka masala dishes. The Tikka masala and butter chicken looked and tasted exactly the same. Our friend thinks they made an error and gave us the same dish, because she said Tikka masala sauce should be thicker and more heavy with tomato. Biryani was just ok.Their chicken kabobs was small cut pieces from tandoori chicken, very dry and just weird flavor. Needless to say, most of the kabobs ended up in the trash, while the other two dishes were half finished though the portions were small. Ordered 2 items, going to review both : chicken biryani and chicken karahi with naan. -Biryani was anything but fresh, looked and tasted a couple days old, garnished with half a boiled, over cooked stale egg. The rice smelled funky and the chicken (2 drum pieces) was boiled and flavorless. Was served with 1/2oz container of mystery gravy and another 1/2oz of white water with flakes of cilantro/mint which was supposed to be raita, might as well have poured water on biryani ! second was chicken karahi. Or a version of karahi with chunks of uncooked tomatoes and large pieces of onions.. chicken was boneless, most likely cooked in bulk separately..lacked flavor, presentation and the purpose.. The highlight of the experience was when the gentleman, could have been the owner/operator was discussing his colonoscopy in length with someone on speakerphone while I waited...
