Best Italian in the high desert. This is a quaint, cozy spot where the owner or his son are present daily. A hidden gem, as I probably said in my first review. I love to share this restaurant with friends and fellow foodies.
I have been eating here for about 5 years now. I can’t get enough of their food. The food is on point with consistency every time. I’ve never been let down or disappointed. I try to keep trying more things off the menu besides my favorites and find new favorites. I actually ate there twice just this week.
The Chicken Parmesan has a thin slice of eggplant on top which is out of this world. I pair mine with double capellini pasta side with extra marinara. The chicken is tender and flavorful. It’s my go to first choice here.
My second most ordered item is the capellini con pollo al pomodoro. I get mine without chicken usually, I just love this dish without the meat.
The chicken Marsala was fork tender and is a mushroom and garlic lovers dream.
The antipasto salad is huge with piles of meat, tomatoes and cheese. I could probably drink their Italian dressing with no shame.
The Polpettine, or meatballs rather are perfectly flavored and juicy.
The trancia di carne a la griglia Hugo style (spicy) is delicious. Steak and their sauce is a match made in heaven.
The Alfredo, arrabbiata, and vodka sauce are amazing. My favorite is their marinara sauce. It’s perfect.
The fried mozzarella is fresh triangle slices fried to perfection.
The stracciatella soup is my favorite. The broth, spinach and egg is a great warming addition as a cup of soup to any meal or as a meal in the bowl option.
The kids menu is perfect size for the price and my kids love eating their spaghetti and meatballs.
Oh by the way the bread is fresh and amazing. Just the regular break and butter is a perfect start to any meal here. They also have a cheese bread appetizer but the fresh bread wins it for me.
I hope you enjoy this place as...
Read moreMy favorite Italian place yet!! Absolutelly amazing food and staff. Superb quality food, friendly kind owner. Stop by and see for yourself, this place knows what's up. (longer review below)
The atmosphere had me a little nervous at first impression. Let me be the first to tell you I was wrong. They were AMAZING!!! I was on a quest for chicken parmigiana. I can say I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to a great chicken parm.. The waiter was incredibly friendly, and when I ordered I asked if the chicken came breaded, he replied no and must have sensed my disappointment, because he quickly offered to make it breaded. Let me just say it was incredible. From the sauce, to the noodles, to the chicken, and even the fresh bread offered at the table. But as if the 5 star food wasn't enough, the waiter, whom I'm now guessing is the owner, was the most kind, intelligent, personable man ever. I will come again and tell all my friends You don't find establishments like this anymore. Hands down this was a...
Read moreThis place is laughable. I ordered a “gluten free shrimp brandy pasta”. When I received the pasta I called to let Francisco the person answering the phone know they added bread to our order and why there was barely any pasta. He suggested what to order and that they had no gluten free bread. His excuse was because I ordered shrimp brandy that came with vegetables it was just “mixed” with everything. That I should have just ordered pasta. Plain I assume lmao. This was over $30.00. I travel a lot from LA to the high desert. I have never had such watered down over priced order for the quality. He did not explain how they ration the food and no made no effort to find a resolution. Clearly lets me know they have no problem burning customers. So I let him know I would add a review, since customer service is non existent. The next place I found shortly after was quality for a fraction of the price and included a side. Reputation is everything..there is always...
