I wish I had something nice to say about this place, stooped in line for a hour and 45 minutes with my husband and two young children. I swear there was people 45 minutes after us who got seated before we did . When I went to ask at the counter they said no that’s impossible it’s first come first serve. Which in fact I know was a lie . After we finally got our seats , where they sat us I was sitting across from my husband we had to literally scream at the top of our lungs just to have a conversation with each other , and looking around I noticed all kinds of people on there cell phones talking to the people next to them laughing cause that’s the only way the could talk to each other due to the music being sound loud . . My four year old was crying cause the music was so damn loud . I have been to rock concerts and sat in the front row by the speakers and that was not even as loud as this place . To top it off we ordered two adult drinks and one was not even close to what we had ordered, so for a total of two adult drinks and a soda for our daughter the bill came out to $39.00 dollars and some change . So after fifteen minutes of some average drinks we asked for our bill to leave cause the music was so loud we could not think to order so we can’t comment on the food . After being in that restaurant I felt like leaving my ears were bleeding. I hope this restaurant makes it cause the roses had there last drink and penny . You want want to go to a real restaurant go to los Toritos where you can go have a conversation with the person sitting a cross from each other . And for $40.00 you can get four drinks and much more with friendly service A plus all around a family restaurant. This does not...
Read moreWent to MARISCOS EL CHAKA at 12174 Hesperia Rd in Victorville, CA today and wasn't as pleased as I have been in past visits to this resturaunt. To begin with let me first say that this place was nice and clean and service was pretty good. There was also plenty of seating offering both booths and tables. They also had a stage area and live band playing which was nice. After being seated we were served chips and the salsa was served in one of those little plastic "to go" containers. (NOTE TO OWNER: PLEASE DONT BE STINGY WITH THE DAM SALSA, WE PAID OVER $100 TO EAT HERE). We ordered the Carne Asada with Shrimp plate. It came with rice, beans, carne asada, shrimp, tortillas and a small salad and was pretty good. We also ordered a dozen oysters in the shell but were disappointed at what we were served. As you can see from the picture they were extremely small oysters and in my opinion, not worth the $28.00 per dozen. I also ordered a El CHAKA Cocktail at $28.00 and was even more disappointed to find there was no scallops, no oysters, no abalone, no baby clams and no imitation crab. They served me a cocktail with only vegetables, shrimp and pieces of octopus, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE. Definitely not a El CHAKA cocktail but my receipt says it was and they definitely charged me for one. Yes, I could have complained but I really didn't want to make it a unpleasant dinning experience for the person I had brought. I hate to leave such a bad review but you guys can do better. UPDATE: THIS PLACE GOT ME...
Read moreI tried to really like this place, but the food is alright, I wouldn’t say good as the shrimp taste like it was recently thawed out. The micheladas look cool but taste like something I can do at home, even there signature Chaka michelada. The service is horrible, I understand there’s situations where there understaffed and that we were a large group of 10 people but there was no communication between the two people who were serving us. They did try to make up for it by giving us the unordered drinks that came to our table and that was nice. But here is where they went wrong, I don’t know what makes the hostesses, the girls in the front think they can speak to people rudely but when your patronizing their establishment with large groups, you would think they would be a little nicer. We were sitting at the bar for 20 minutes waiting for our colleagues to get there before one of them explained that she will get in trouble by her manager for holding the table when our party isn’t there....they were holding the table for 30 mins tops and there were other empty tables so it’s not like they were losing business. Then proceeded to tell us that we should call “for future reference”. I get it, all places have this king of policy but her delivery was out of line and if they weren’t able to accommodate us in the first place they could have told us that in the beginning and we could have gone back to Kaliman where we know we get good service...
