Totos Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Victorville

My husband and I went there the other day we wanted to try some place new to us. We have a coupon booklet from a local fundraiser, before we brought up the coupon( buy 1 entree and 2 drinks get 1 entree free) the service was good. When we asked about the coupon they said it is only good for combination plate which was completely ok outside of the coupon doesn't say that. The combination section was hard to understand it says 1 item for 9 something or 2 items for 12 Something. Most of their meals are 12.99 it's not really a deal.They explained that one plate is 1 item and the the other is 2 they both come with beans and rice. You can't do 2 items for both plates.My husband wanted 2 bean and cheese burritos they said you can't do that because one burrito it too big it won't fit 2 of them.So he got a tostada and a burrito and I got a tostada. We did have our 2 year old son with us.we got him a kids enchilada with ice cream. Our plates came and the portions were so small it measured up to my son's child size meal. My husband and I both felt like we were being treated as if we didn't have any real money which isn't true and we would have been willing to spend quite a bit. We asked for a refill and she said only one and that's it I would have also been willing to pay for more refills. I don't like being told that I can't have more even though I'm willing to pay for it. We didn't really feel comfortable to stay for a while or even order more. We were there for about 30 minutes to an hour. After we ate we just wanted to leave. We spent about $30 there. Unfortionally neither of us were full we went elsewhere and got something better and better service. worst customer service experience ever. my bean burrito was served on a hot plate, yet my burrito was cold the beans inside were cold and the cheese inside wasnt melted. when i explained my concern to the waitress, she stuck it in the microwave and brought it back to me. the tortilla was so dough like, that i could not even hold it. She still wanted to charge us for it, even tho she had taken the burrito back untouched. she specifically told me in spanish , that she did not care if i liked the burrito or not. me and my family were visiting from out of state, and i hardly ever do reviews, but the food and the customer service, i had to warn others ! DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE, NOT ONLY DO THEY HAVE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, THEY SERVE COLD FOOD ON HOT PLATES. AND THEY HAVE FLIES...

Food was average, at least from what I could tell by the miniscule portion provided as a "meal". Minimal chips and salsa offered initially and they don't offer "refills" on chips, which i would understand if it was a cafeteria style restaurant but you are seated with a waitress. Chips and salsa is the bare minimum for a Mexican restaurant. Service was poor. You get 1 free refill with the purchase of a fountain drink and it's an additional $1 charge if you want to take the drink to go.
