La Pupusa Factory — Restaurant in Hialeah

Two stars because chicharron pupusas and baleada were delicious. But what a gross place. The curtido comes in a large Mason jar that you can tell is put on everyone's table and then refilled for the next table. Which means if someone sticks their fork in it or gets it with their hands, the next table gets to enjoy their yummy germs. And the rust and mold around the rim are out of control. Even nastier was the basket of nachos. It can't be washed in the dishwasher so the rim looks like what my mechanic looks like after he works under my car. Black and moldy in the crevices. The walls were sooooooo dirty at the booth we were sitting at. Like the wall by the garbage can after a 2 year old throws away soup. I loved the food but I can never go back. Too grimy. They should give smaller personal size containers of curtido so they don't have to refill it or throw it out. And those baskets should be plastic so they can stick it in...

If you never try Salvador Pupusas you do not know what your missing . This soft flour corn Salvadorian dish with tortilla texture you can ordered with refríes beans cheese and pork Chicharrón or a variation different Kinds of Pupusa just ask you waiter what difference kind they have and try them . One of this babies would fill you up the entire day. The Pupusa i tried at Pupusa Factory was no the best but it was ok not that flavorful nor that soft like in the best places I tried them. Nothing fancy here but there are much better places that makes Pupusas and I will review them later for you. The Big Marisco Fish Soup was not that good it tasted like something else or water with salt for that matter that is the reason of few stars for this place . If I could give zero stars I would. Disgusting is not enough to descrive the feeling I had after I ate almost all my mariscada plate only to find out that the crabs were rotten. It was the worse experience EVER in a restaurant. Almost 30 dollars for rotten food. Imagine rotten seafood. It was not even that tasty th. But to serve rotten crabs is the most disgusting experience ever. I regret not tasting yhem in the beginning so i would've avoid the disgust of knowing i ate most of the plate. It's just tbe worse.
