Slowest McDonalds i've EVER been to. Also horribly managed. I've been twice to this location before and both times been told to wait in the parking spot (for a single cheeseburger meal mind you). I decided this time to go INSIDE and watch... It was 12:30pm, not too busy, 3-4 people walking in every 5 minutes or so, a car every couple minutes as well in the drive through, this is LIGHT for McDonalds lunch traffic.
While inside after ordering I waited with 4 other people off to the side while my meal was prepped. A few minutes in I started talking to the kind women next to me, she had already been waiting ~10 minutes for a big mac meal. after 28 minutes (checked their service monitors) she was finally served her one big mac w/ fries and stormed out. at this point, I had been waiting for 2 cheeseburgers and a medium fry and a medium drink (come on, this is the STAPLE meal guys) for 22 minutes (again according to THEIR screen). One of the employees asked what I was waiting on, and looked at the monitor... grimaced and then said "Yeaa... we are still waiting on those burgers :/"
Now, in the back I can see the manager texting on her phone, occasionally looking up to see if her employees were working and that's about it. The employees were doing their part but the manager would NOT let them open a 2nd lane to make food so things were just bottle necked making one item at a time with no prioritization for easy meals like burgers.
All the while, I also heard employees tell different customers FIVE different times "i'm sorry we don't have that in stock" ... so not only is the manager incompetent at managing order pace and preparing food, she also doesn't know how to stock her restaurant at all.
Eventually I was served my food 32 minutes after it went on the order screens.... THIRTY TWO MINUTES for 2 single cheeseburgers and a medium fry.
The employees looked embarrassed for not being able to server food, and frustrated because they end up taking the brunt of the customer frustration.
This manager NEEDS TO GO, regional managers need to do their job and make spot visits and check on this location, I GUARANTEE you will see what I saw as it has happened 3/3 times for me know, anywhere from noon, to evening to very...
Read moreThe Hickory Creek, TX location has always had poor customer service, but today was the worst! Another child threw up inside one of the tunnels in the play area. It was an area of the tunnels where you step down. My son stepped down into the tunnel and slipped in vomit. He couldn't stand up and climb out. He was completely hysterical. My husband had to climb up to pull him out. Another parent came running over and told us that he had known there was something in there, because an employee had told him to stay clear of the area. When I told one of the employees, she just gave me a blank look and mumbled something and walked away. Five minutes later, another person (manager?) walked into the play area as we were stripping down my son and changing his clothes. I told her what was going on. She stood there and stared at me blank faced and mumbled, "We didn't know about it." In the most bored, put out tone. She was irritated with me! I told her, "My kid is covered in someone else's vomit and I'm very upset about this! You need to close this area down!" She was ready to roll her eyes at me. She was so put out! I told her "Don't look at me like that. I want the number for corporate. We are NEVER coming here again!" Never saw her again. My husband had to go get the corporate number from the counter. I sent 3 families away, because 15 mins after the fact and the play area was STILL open. They sent in an older employee to clean, she had difficulty climbing up into the play structure, and she took a hand full of paper towels and spray bottle. NO WAY is that enough to sanitize the area! They never closed down the area. So disgusting! I get that the vomit part wasn't their fault (although, the parent said an employee had warned them of it), but the attitude to follow was unbelievable! DONE...
Read moreOne of the worst McDonald's experiences I've ever had. I put in a mobile order at this location and drove over there. When I got to the McDonald's there was one car at each speaker but no one was in the process of ordering. We were all just sitting there. Eventually both of the cars in front of me drove away without actually ordering anything. If I hadn't already paid on my phone ahead of time I would've left too. After more than ten minutes waiting at the speaker saying "hello" loudly and getting no response, another car pulled up to the speaker next to me and was asked to order immediately. So I had already been waiting at this McDonald's for over 20 minutes for food that I already ordered and paid for but they decided to take this other cars order first. When they did finally greet me over the speaker I said I had a mobile order and provided my code. I was asked to pull around. When I arrived at the first window the employee had no idea what was going on. I told them I had a mobile order and they asked if I had checked in, I said yeah the person at the speaker told me to pull around. They then shouted into the back "YO YALL GOT HIS MOBILE ORDER" and asked me to pull up to the next window. I pulled up to the next window and waited for another 12 minutes for my food, which was cold and they didn't put any of the sauces I had ordered for my nuggets in the bag.
Just a horribly slow location that is disrespectful to their customers. Go...
