China King — Restaurant in Hickory

I called and a young boy answered the phone and I asked him if the lunch specials were still going on and he said yes. I said ok I want 2 shrimp egg foo youngs and a large pork fried rice. He said ok 20 minutes. I get there and they charged me 39.00 for all that. I asked her I thought it was lunch price specials and she said well u spoke with my son and ordered regular and I said no I didn’t I specifically asked about the lunch specials. They are like 4 dollar difference. She continued to tell me what I didn’t order. I got mad and left and said we won’t be back. Also my mom went one day and was 2 minutes after 3 and they would not give her the lunch price special. I’m sorry that is just greedy. That is very unprofessional to argue with me especially when I specifically asked her son about the time for the lunch specials. I just wonder how m at more people they hoodooed.. The food is the best around but it was vey unprofessional how she told me what I ordered...

I’ve never experienced such terrible service. We ordered 2 combos during lunch hours and it shows inside (a big sign to the left) what the prices were. The front lady over charged us and when we tried to correct it she acted completely ignorant. It had been a great day up til that point so I decided never mind and we left. When we realized we didn’t have straws we went back to get 2 straws and she would not let us. Asked us to order and we said the last name & what we JUST ordered and again she had an attitude & would not let us. We went across to mcdonald’s to get them. I will never support or...

Absolutely love China King!

I popped in for a quick bite and was so impressed. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and my order was ready in a flash – perfect for a walk-in. The Szechuan chicken was fantastic, with just the right amount of kick and tender chicken. The pork egg rolls were crispy and flavorful, not greasy at all. And the hot and sour soup? A total winner! It hit all the right notes of savory, spicy, and tangy. This is definitely my new go-to for delicious Chinese food and speedy service....
