I’m in from out of town on a medical emergency and in the Days Inn. I called called for delivery as I don’t have a car, thinking that having Chinese food would be good. I ordered the chicken dinner that came with rolls and rice, Rangoon’s and wanton soup. $17. And some change. Their wait was AN HOUR and got here around 8:00pm The food came without utensils and the chicken looked like a mess without much sauce... I ate a few rangoons and ate a bit of the chicken. It was awful, I couldn’t eat it, so I just sipped the soup and gave up on having a good meal. Around 11:00 I was violently voiding the food. I was going to call, but was too sick. I tried to call in the morning when I was better but their Messages on the phone were full and no way to leave a message so I waited till they were open. My stomach still feeling like I dare not eat anything. So when I called to explain and asked for a refund of the CHICKEN ONLY 7.95- I was told, that unless I had a doctors note from an emergency room, they were UNABLE to give me a refund. I asked to speak to the manager, and she said she was the manager, her name is Lily, or so she told me. I then asked to speak to the owner and was told that I was on able to speak to the owner as she was the manager. I again asked what is the name of the owner, And was told that she was unable To give me the name of the owner. She then re-iterated, that unless I had a doctors note stating that it was their food that she would not give me a refund for the chicken. I then asked her to give my name and number to the unknown named owner, which she took but did not tell me if the owner would be calling me back. At this point I am at a loss as to what to do. I stated, that for the small amount of money for the chicken was she willing to risk a bad review? She had no response. She then again reiterated that I needed a doctors note. I find this policy unacceptable. Why am I going to go to an emergency room for food poisoning? When all it takes ....Is sitting on the toilet for an hour or so while I void it out of my body, that would be a complete waste of medical services. I did not ask for the whole amount in refund, I told her I still have Uneaten chicken here and could take a picture of it to prove that I did not finish it because it was that bad. I am writing this to warn anyone of this restaurants horrible policies in dealing with customer service. I would have returned it personally if I had a vehicle, But as I stated I am here on a medical emergency for family. I would suggest that if you’re reading this, you might want to choose a better place rather than risk horrible customer service...
Read moreBeyond Horrible!! On 10/2/2015, I ordered delivery for myself and my family from this place. It took a while to get through to the person on the phone, not because she was foreign, but because she was trying to give me "attitude!" But, my wife wanted "Chinese" for dinner and we're fairly new to the area and she was at work, so I figured I would deal with it this time and look for another restaurant some other time. So, I finally placed my order, the woman (who turned out to be the "Manager") told me that it would arrive in about a half an hour. An "hour" later the driver arrives to my door with our food. He acts like he didn't want to give me my food until I paid for it first (I'm a Black man, but he was Black as well!) However, I was not paying for it until I made sure they got the order correct! The driver then proceeds to tell me, "It's no use checking the order with me, you'll just have to call back to the store anyway." (Does "everyone" at this place have "attitude?") I reply, "You may be right, but if the order isn't right, I'm not paying for it, and I'm sending you back with it and we're ordering a Pizza!" So, after making sure the order was correct, I proceed to pay this guy. The order came to $18.65. I gave the driver a $20.00 bill. He gave me back $1.00 saying that he didn't have any more coin change. I say to him, "That's not "my" problem, you'll have to give me another dollar and eat the 15 cents for not being prepared." The driver then says, "F__K you!", turns and runs to his "broken down, black compact car", and drives off! In other words, I was just robbed by their delivery driver! So, I called the store to complain about what just happened, and the "Manager" proceeds to tell me that they were busy and "maybe" she'll send someone out to refund my money or she'll give me a credit on my next order. ON MY "NEXT" ORDER? So, she's assuming that I'm doing business with her again? I then ask her if she at all thinks what her delivery driver was "at all" wrong, or is this "normal business" practice for them? She then tells me that I must be "desperate" for my 85 cents! I says, "Ma'am, it's about principle, something none of you there seem to know anything about. I'll let the High Point PD explain it to you since you allow your drivers to rob your customers." So, the High Point Police officer actually had to go to the store to explain it to them. Later that evening, another employee showed up at my door to refund one dollar to me. Oh, and the food was not was not even worth all the...
Read moreI ate at Great China Restaurant in High Point on Sept. 5 2017 at 6PM. Yuck. I asked for extra sauce on my General Tsos. The General Tsos ended up having very little sauce. I complained to the management and the chinese guy just told me We fix all of our general tsos like that Then when I asked him to add more sauce, he said I will have to charge you for another General Tsos order. Why couldn't he just fix his mistake? I told them that wasn't fair and he said You don't like it, I'm sorry. Didn't even attempt to correct the order and give me more sauce. Instead tried to charge me for 2 orders! Outrageous
Then some chinese guy walked out from the back, and asked me if I could teach him how to say something in english. I said You guys have the audacity to ask me to teach you english when your trying to rip me off? I just threw the General Tsos away and walked out. Highly disappointed. Would never recommend this Great China place in High Point. Beware...
