Food was alright; service was terrible and then they played shady games with the bill by changing prices of items and taking on unnecessary “service” charges. Let me preface they were not busy at the time. There were four parties including mine split between three waitresses. After 10 minutes of waiting for drink refills and cheese dip we had asked for twice I had to get up from my table to find our waitress sitting down in the other room watching TikTok’s. Mind you no other waitresses came by to check on tables either. By the time we received our food, that is when our waitress finally brought over chips, but not with cheese dip but with salsa. After asking for cheese dip three times and not getting it, I told our waitress to forget about it. Well when we got our receipt, I review it and see they charged us a $4.58 “service charge” and a $2.00 open food (side of lettuce and tomato). When I questioned the service fee, I am told it’s for the chips and cheese dip. I inform them that we never received the chips and cheese dip after multiple requests and that it needs to be removed (still wonder why I was charged a service charge when they have the cheese dip programmed into their POS system). The next receipt I receive, the service charge is removed but then notice they raised the once $2.00 open food charge by an additional $1.50.
There is no excuse for this service or shady dealings....
Read moreFood was bad. We all got chicken dishes. My daughter got the kids ACP. It tasted odd like they cooked it with pepperoni. My son got a kids pepperoni pizza (I know! but that's what he wanted) but they shouldn't have been cooked together. Plus, I'm sure his was microwaved. Mine and my husband's plates were scorching hot. I understand serving on hot plates to keep the food warm but I was concerned for my kids near it and my own wrists when I was trying to eat! I touched it once and jumped because it was so hot. I'm not exaggerating, it felt like it had come right out of the oven. Then there was the quality of the food. I got the pollo loco. The onions were pretty much raw on top of the chicken and inedible. The chicken was tough and over cooked. My husband got the ACP he said that his tasted like it had been cooked with pepperoni too. Nothing had any seasoning or salt on it. Very disappointed with one of our regular out to eat locations. My husband tried to talk to the manager after we paid and he dismissed everything saying our plates weren't that hot and everyone complains that the food is cold so they have to have the plates that hot. Someone is going to get hurt and they don't care. My husband described the food quality issues and he just said that is how it is cooked. We...
Read moreWe went there to La Hacienda restaurant in High Point to dine this evening at around 6 PM and the restaurant was mostly empty, The staff was courteous, we were seated promptly and provided the standard chips and salsa. We then placed our order and waited... and waited... and waited. We watched as other diners, couples like us and larger parties were seated, placed their orders and received their orders. And we waited. Finally, after about 40 minutes a waiter told us that our order was being prepared and would soon be out. And we waited... Finally, we refused to wait any longer, got up from the table and started to leave. Suddenly a waiter (not our original waiter) came running over with several plates of food, claiming it was our meal. We returned to our table only to discover it was not our order at all. Fed up, we walked out. At no time during the wait for our food did our waiter or anyone else explain to us what the delay was. On a final note, the chips were tasteless, the salsa bland. We asked for hotter salsa and salsa verde, which were no better. I am rating this restaurant only on the service. It would be unfair to rate a meal we never received, and had the food been decent, the chips and salsa would have been only a minor...
