We have ordered three times via DoorDash from Miso’s Ice Cream. The first two orders were impressive and quickly won us over as our go to place for desserts.
However, the third order (we placed today) truly disappointed us. We ordered 4 of the fudge brownies (priced at $2.89 per brownie) and 1 giant ice cream sandwich.
We received our order from DoorDash and realized we were given 4 pre packaged Mrs. Freshley’s Oreo brownies as opposed to the fudge brownies we ordered.
We specifically ordered the “fudge brownie NEW” for the freshness and because it is advertised as the same brownie used in their brownie sundae.
I reached out to Miso’s Ice Cream and spoke with a young lady, didn’t catch her name. She was kind but explained they were out of the fudge brownies, she didn’t have time to make anymore so she substituted the Oreo brownies for the fudge brownies.
We never received a message or phone call from Miso’s advising more than half our order was unavailable and to see if their substitution would be acceptable. We were also charged for 4 fudge brownies (total of $11.56) whenever we received 4 Oreo brownies that are priced at $1.99 each so a total of $7.96 before taxes. We were not provided the monetary difference.
As I inquired if we would be refunded for at least the difference, the young lady stated the dasher should have done that herself. I contacted DoorDash for assistance and was only able to be given $3.24 in DoorDash credits (the difference should have been $3.60)
I’m not asking for the 36 cents that wasn’t provided to us. However I am thoroughly upset we never received a phone call to simply ask for permission/authorization to replace items in our order. We utilize DoorDash often and have been contacted by a multitude of different restaurants whenever something we have requested has been unavailable.
We really would like to give Miso’s another chance and hope we will receive improved...
Read moreDelicious ice cream, ok prices, horrible customer service.
First of all, we felt rushed. Everyone was basically corralled into a small lobby trying to make sense of the ordering process and who was next. We ordered 2 smalls and a kid’s scoop, and when the cashier asked what we ordered, I told her that - just to be over spoken by the person who scooped our ice cream as “3 smalls.” I tried to correct the cashier, but she was rude and repeated “3 smalls,” which ended up being like $15… I didn’t feel like re-addressing it on a busy Saturday night, but we very clearly had a kid’s scoop. So if a kid’s scoop costs the same as a small, we should’ve been given the same amount of ice cream.
We also ended up tipping and the cashier was still rude to us. It’s not like we were needy - we ordered in like 60 seconds flat - and we certainly weren’t rude. I hope these places stop hiring people just to have bodies in the stores and go back to hiring people with positive attitudes, work ethics, and appreciation for the people putting money in their pockets, especially when you’re paying premium prices for something as simple...
Read moreHighest quality product - features a fortunately-/expertly-curated selection of ice cream flavors not typically available from other vendors (*even amongst those businesses with items of the same brand also on public offer).
Employees are, for the most part, professional and courteous (*though, as is - sadly - usually the case with any size or type of business, there seems to always be at least one worker that's determined to blatantly express their negativity/disgust/frustration/undisguised-contempt for having to fulfill the needs of customers). Thankfully, there has only been one who fits in this category on duty during our previous visits - so far, at least. Fingers crossed.
Parking is rather limited due to the small size of the lot and the various other businesses that share the space.
Visibility from the road is also somewhat lacking.
That having been said, it is absolutely worth the effort to find your way here and sample the delicious fare on offer.
Highly...
