I am a delivery driver last night I did a pickup for two customers at this Taco Bell I got there at 5 minutes to 12:00 on the website they indicate they close at 12:00am I went through the drive-thru and was told that they were closed and I said well I want to pick up two orders I gave him the names and they said it was too late. That there was a certain time that they stopped doing orders so they weren't going to do those orders. I then called ubereats and was informed by Uber eats that their agreement was to take orders up to 11:30pm, so I'm not sure why I could not have picked up two orders. They weren't busy, were no other cars waiting and I don't understand. So not only was I disappointed because we don't get paid for this even though I drove 20 minutes to get there the customer of course does not get any food and doesn't even realize that their food was never even started to be made. Now they have to wait for the order to be canceled and find another restaurant that's open this late. This is bad customer service in my opinion and so anyone that wants to order late at night from this restaurant I would think twice. ..
So I went back tonight at 11:35pm to pick up two orders. The website now says they close at 12:30am. It took me 20 minutes to get there since I was coming from Greensboro. I tried to call first and of course no answer. I decided to take the risk that they would be open. I was hoping that Uber contacted them about closing their store before active orders are completed. When I drove up two other cars were at the drive thru, I was hoping this was a good sign. I went up to the ordering dock and said I had two Uber pick ups. I was told that they didn't have any Uber orders and that they were closed. I informed him the orders most likely took place over 30 minutes ago since it took me at least 20 minutes to drive. He said he had no orders. I then asked why your website states your open until 12:30am he said they got the "ok from their manager" to close. I understand that restaurant business has been slowed down with covid however, Greensboro is back open and most places have opened their hours. That being said, if they choose to close they need to reflect honest hours since various people are ordering in good faith and empty stomachs. It's not fair to them when they put in an order anticipating it to be filled only to find out after waiting at least an hour, that there order is cancelled. I always text or call my customers and let them know. I then immediately call Uber so they can get refunded and then hopefully find a place that states there hours honestly, so these hungry people can eat. My advice to customers and delivery drivers is to stay away from this Taco bell until they hire new management...
Read moreI’m wondering if the GM of this location even bothers to read the reviews bc I wished I had before going to this location! Reviews are consistently negative so obviously no one cares here but I’ll give my experience anyway!
I pulled up and gave my name for my mobile order..the young lady made a comment I didn’t understand and then the manager took over and said we’re out of beef would I accept chicken… well I guess that’s fine. Didn’t really want to say yes bc the other two tacos were already chicken. I pull around and wait…the manager informed me they were also out of the strawberry lemonade I paid for with an uncharge for making it large…umm k fine give me what have gatorade..(horrible). While waiting I had a question I tried to get Ashley’s attention who was sweeping the floor in front of the window.. she kept sweeping..okay maybeeee she didn’t see me…a few minutes go by and I try again this time there’s no broom. We made eye contact I asked if she would come to the window..she gave me a look of disgust and rolled her eyes to the back of her head and walked off??? Me and my passenger looked at each other in disbelief. Someone else came to the window I informed i needed the manager..he comes over I told him what just happened and that I needed her name. He asked what would I like for him to do….(well if I as the customer have to tell u them don’t worry about it) I finally get the food after about 25 minutes there and I park to open the bag so I wouldn’t hold up the line checking it…the burrito I ordered with NO beans is full of beans!! I close that open second taco its rock hard and ice cold like it was in a freezer but the one with beans was pipping hot…I put that one back in the bag thinking I’ll just heat it when I get home…the new chicken rolls were hot hot but lacking chicken so I passed those to my infant. The cheese cup for the nachos was practically empty! I put everything back in the bag and drove back around. Ashley greeted me (oh I didn’t know she could talk) I flagged the manager down and told him i needed to return the food..he asked what was wrong with it.. I mentioned one thing and he cut me off not allowing me to finish talked over me so I stopped talking to listen and he said I can’t refund it bc you ordered online…took the food I handed him and slung the food on the counter…. I drove off trying to figure out wth just happened here!??!? There is no option for a refund on the app so I guess I’ll deal with this tomorrow….needless to say I do NOT RECOMMEND! I’ve never been to this location and will never again, they couldn’t pay me...
Read moreI always pick up through the drive-thru and this location has frequently got my order wrong, to the point where it has become the norm for me to check the order in the parking lot, and circle around to pick up the items they forgot. I usually order for my family which is about three meals worth, and sometimes with extras. I don't think they have the ability to handle large orders like this very well as they're almost always two or three items off.
Generally speaking, as others have stated, the employees are often distracted on phones, joking and laughing very loudly, at times eating while taking drive-thru orders and often chattering among themselves. This wouldn't bother me if they weren't constantly messing up my orders- there's a clear lack of focus behind the counter. They're generally unfriendly and look very much not happy to be there. Around two times when I had to enter to the restaurant to pick up what they forgot, I was left standing there with nobody addressing me for quite a while.
Recently on one of my go-arounds to pick up what they naturally forgot, I was told the manager packed the order personally and they got it all right, indirectly accusing me of tampering with the bag. Only it was revealed by the manager that they were actually out of one of the items and I'd have to contact customer service for a refund (it was a mobile order). So they knew that the count was wrong because they were out of one of the items, yet insisted they packed it right. Not only that, but they never bothered to tell me that they were out of the item, nor offer an alternative to compensate. They'd rather I go home and open the bag to see that an item was missing.
But it doesn't end there. I proceeded to go online to get my refund only for my refund request/complaint to go unresolved. I have sent two messages and it has been two months with no response from Taco Bell. On top of that, when I look up my order history, my recent orders have mysteriously disappeared. I don't know what is going in with Taco Bell customer service, but I'm very disappointed, and haven't been back to this location since...
