We came hoping to enjoy the culture and wine, but unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming. We were looking forward to trying a flight, but were told we couldn’t order one due to a food truck being on-site — which felt unrelated and disappointing.

The meat and cheese board lacked flavor and left us wanting something more enjoyable. The table wine we tried was overly acidic and not to our taste, but we weren’t given the option to sample first, which made it feel like a forced choice rather than an experience.

D'Anu is a quaint tasting room in downtown Hillsboro. There is a front and rear entrance with parking available on the street as well as in the rear. They have wine, beer, and cider by the glass or bottle. You can also do a wine tasting of six wines of your choosing. This winery sources it's fruit from Oregon and Washington and makes a variety of wines mostly in minimal quantities. It was good, but not what I was expecting from other reviews. The space was nice and it opens to the outside in warmer weather but I went on a rainy day around dinner hour expecting a bit more traffic. Despite it being quiet, everything took quite a while with a single person doing all the work for us and one other table arriving just after us.
