Possibly the worst Dutch experience I have had. I was the third car in line on highway side, only 1 car on the other side and it took 20 mins for me to get to the window. Once at the window the dude didn’t even look at me, just bent down stared into his iPad and asked what I would like. After hearing my order he proceeds to turn around back facing me talk to the girls on bar and from what I hear is talking about baby daddy’s, and saying they wouldn’t mind some guy to be there baby daddy. He than casually joins convo, and than walks to the fridge and makes my small iced rebel. Nobody said hi or looked over and asked how my day was how I’m doing, actually none of them even really looked at me. He than comes back hands rebel and says yeah have a nice day. I overheard his name, josh. I like energy drinks, but I come to Dutch for the experience, most people don’t come for the coffee or drinks, you can get anything anywhere nowadays, they come cause Dutch cares about there customers and Genuinely wants to converse and see what’s going on in people’s lives. Today, well do I even have to say...
Read moreThe DB store I just went to is probably smaller than 100 sq. ft., but there were half a dozen employees inside. Most of that space is occupied by equipment and supplies. That was not the most unusual part of what I saw, with such a crowd inside.
With all the usual laughter, talking with customers and making a variety of drinks, their movements, their timing, their upbeat pace was like a small orchestra moving to an unseen conductor. Nobody bumped into anyone else. The employees were quickly and deliberately doing their job from a place of knowing, not from guessing or playing follow the leader.
While no-one seemed to be waiting for some one to point the way, or to tell them how to do their job, it was as if they were of one mind, one purpose, and not "just doing a job".
Fun, Responsibility, Attention to detail and positive civic Service, and more, guided their actions, and what I got from it all is an excellent drink and greater hope for our Nation through the actions of our...
Read moreFirst of all, I do not drink coffee and have nothing bad to say about any coffee shop or this one, besides the location. I find myself regularly entering the parking lot to use office max or bi Mart or auto zone, and the line that accumulates over this coffee stand is a flat out safety hazard. And honestly, the line could even be overlooked as a safety hazard if it wasn’t for the fact that most people leaving this business seem to think they have the right away to get In line to pull back onto tv highway, so nearly every time I pull Into this parking lot someone ends up trying to pull out in front of me or successfully doing it and I have to slam my breaks. My only request is that they either find a safe way to manage the traffic they create, or move shop. Either would work for me. And to everyone who visits here please keep an eye open when entering the parking lot. If a wreck hasn’t already happened...
