After much research online for a new mattress, we made our first visit to Bedmart in Hillsboro this morning. My mind was pretty much set on a specific mattress that I knew the store carried so I wanted to check it out in person before I made my purchase directly from the mattress company. I went in armed with all the details including the âdiscounts & free extrasâ that the mattress website offered (not Bedmart website).
When we arrived we received a friendly greeting immediately from David but not like a crazy chihuahua running up to you kind of greeting. He was relaxed and inviting. (You can also find him at Furniture Outlet in Beaverton on Sundays). He listened intently to our wants and needs for a new mattress. He was more than happy to show us the mattress we had come in for and promised that he would be able to match the âdiscounts & extrasâ offered by the mattress company online.
Fast forward a bit and to our surprise, David did not sell us the mattress we had gone in for.
Why?!!! Well, letâs back up a bit.
After listening to our mattress woes and concerns, David wanted to make sure we got what we needed. I have very bad hips and will be needing a double replacement soon. My significant other often has lower back pain and snores. David suggested we utilize the technology they have available in the store to help determine the best mattresses for us by measuring how we sleep and where our pressure points are. (He can probably explain this a lot better). After this process, the computer gives us a list of the best matches. We tried them one by one and each time, after thoroughly explaining the features, David left us alone for as long we needed to figure out the pros and cons of each one. There was no pressure on his part and he didnât try to over sell us or push us past our comfort spending level. In the end, we didnât even want to try the mattress weâd gone in for because we found exactly what we needed on the list made specifically for us.
Once our decision was made, we opted to finance the purchase instead of paying cash. David made this process smooth, quick and pleasurable. As a bonus, because he knew weâd wanted the âdiscounts and extrasâ offered with the other mattress, he gave us the same deal on the one we chose! PS: Bill is pretty cool, too. Special note to the owners of Bedmart: treat these two like gold. They are fantastic.

   Read moreWe had a very bad experience. We purchased a queen set mattress and box spring. Total price was 699.00 put down 100.00 left owing 600.00. After paying 4 months at 101.00 each month out of his checking, we called to see if we could pay off the balance. When I asked how much I was told 842.00 of course surprised, when I asked why they told me that we had leased the bed and the charge for that was 600.00. I was in terrible confusion he told me that we had not signed a contract for buying the bed but instead leasing it. They had pulled a scam on us and now we are paying 1000.00 for a bed that we thought we were paying 699.00.
If you ever need a bed DO NOT go to BED-MART or use U Leashing company they didn't care and just said that's the way it is. Very bad service and very bad customer service if they slipped that leasing paperwork in at the last minute because never did they mention it to us. bed which there was a charge. After talking to them and the leasing people today I need everyone out here be very cautious of doing any business with Bed. Mart. đ©đ©đ©

He took his time showing us various options in mattresses, pillows, and what made each of them unique. With each option he would go back to his desk and give us space to talk amongst ourselves without feeling pressured. He showed us options in frame features (massage, lights, blue tooth, etc), pillows and sheets but made it very clear he wanted us to know what was available but we didn't have to get anything. He was very helpful and extremely personable. We came in Labor Day weekend, and since everything we wanted was in stock he was able to get our bed shipped to us and set up the next day. The gentleman who delivered and set up the bed were extremely nice and efficient. They walked us through all the features and made sure we were happy with everything before they left.
