It would have been more enjoyable and efficient if I just took $27 and lit it on fire in front of me. As a Korean man, I am absolutely offended that such a place represents Bingsu to the fine people of 185th avenue (I grew up in this neighborhood for what it is worth).
I told my wife we should try this place since we had just went and had great bingsu at Bingsu Dang the night before. I should have known from the "YOUR MCAFFEE ANTIVIRUS SUBSCRIPTION HAS EXPIRED" notice on the digital menu that it was going to be off. We ordered a taro custom shaved ice with sesame and condensed milk. We also threw in the strawberry cheesecake croffle since so many people had recommended it on Yelp.
Straight trash.
Shaved ice was purple, looked like taro, tasted like cardboard. The sesame sauce was good but that was pretty much it. There unfortunately wasn't enough sesame flavor to cover the amount of disappointment and frustration.
The croffle I got was hard enough that I could have taken several, used them to make a foundation for my own, brand new shaved ice store, that would, on day one, be better than what I had just experienced (and I say this as someone who has never made bingsu before).
What added insult to injury was that everything took 20 minutes to come out. I'm writing this on October 4th 2025, a day after I came to visit on Friday, October 3rd 2025 around 9 PM. I'm telling you the exact details because maybe the owner can figure out who the heck was staffing this place considering all the good reviews on many websites.
I thought it may have just been me, but the couple that came in right before us got their food, and I kid you not, walked outside for around 10 seconds, presumably to ask each other "did we just eat styrofoam?" and then proceeded to IMMEDIATELY throw away their parfait and shaved ice that they had just taken a bite of. The worst part about it is that IC Bingsu is expensive. That parfait and shaved ice probably cost that couple around $30. I know because my croffle and shaved ice cost me (as I stated early) a ludicrous $27 AMERICAN dollars. So this nice couple, literally came in, tasted this "dessert" and then decided that "refuse" was a better label for what they had experienced.
Not even the board games are good! To try and pass the time, we tried playing the connect four board game and it literally has the bottom broken out of it. You might as well call it connect floor because that is the only place those...
Read moreHello? Is there anyone here? There was enthusiastic news story on channel 12 a few months back, it piqued our interest, so we finally went to try it. The treats on TV looked amazing but unfortunately we did not stick around to figure out the menu or how to order. Perhaps we're too American, terribly old, obsolete, and not hip to the latest South Korean food & service trends. We walked into this empty store without any human employees visibly available for assistance, only a gigantic white touch screen at the counter. Sorry, but self-ordering isn't simple if a customer is not well acquainted with the product... We sat down at a table and checked out their website to see if there were any helpful descriptions, but not really. Plus, there didn't seem to be any human beings anywhere on the premises that cared that we were sitting in the establishment, not ordering anything. For a dessert that costs $19 +, I can reasonably expect to feel welcome and receive customer service, without being a "Karen". Don't know if this is a cultural difference or just rude employees blatantly ignoring any potential customers until they place an order through the touch screen, but we walked out feeling extremely disappointed. I hope they don't have the audacity to...

We first found out about this place through Instagram. I'm so glad we stopped by to check this place out. It's very new and definitely already a popular spot.
Wait time for us was about 25 minutes to get 1 croffle and 1 bingsu, and this was on a Wednesday in the early afternoon with every table filled with patrons.
Love Matcha? Definitely order the Matcha Lovers Bingsu! It is not overly sweet or bitter. It's a great balance of both with just the right amount of flavor soaked into the dry flaky shaved ice dessert. It comes with a scoop of red bean, mochi, and corn flakes. Two can share one bingsu, but if you really want to indulge, one person can finish it themselves.
My daughter wanted the brownie croffle. It's messy but delicious! Thick waffle-like dessert soaked in a sweet syrup with brownies, whipped cream, and a chocolate syrup drizzle. The waffle itself is a thick pastry and filling.
I can see this place adding more optional fruit toppings to their items. They also offer drinks. We will no doubt be returning and telling others to...
