I can’t believe the lack of management from this restaurant!!!! I was in there on a Friday and we were celebrating my sister’s birthday. We had a fabulous server who showed great service and I really love that he had communication with my two little girls that made our dinner more enjoyable. So we all asked him if they can sign happy birthday and right away he said absolutely. But when he asked another person if he can join the signing he replied“ARE YOU ASKING ME OR TELLING ME” how rude but worst of all he was staring down our server like trying to intimidate him which that was worst.(By the way our server was a young friendly and with a warm smile guy, the other guy had a mean face like not wanting to be there, he also give us the feeling he was selfish and coky) Right away it made us feel really uncomfortable and bad.I called in Monday night asking to speak with the manager but he said that he was busy and that he will call me later. I gave him my number so he can return my call,but to my surprise I got two calls from another number, a cell phone to be specific as the person mentioned it on the voicemail and that weird me out,the person wanted to know what my complaint was or why I had called. FIRST of all I was shocked that the manager would give my number to someone else that wasnt a manager, I confirmed they only have ONE manager, SECOND the person who returned my call was all bitchy to say the least. I got so upset because the manager gave my personal number to someone else. I would understand if someone else returned my call from the restaurant but from a CELL PHONE?! you have to be kidding me!!!!!. I kept calling the restaurant trying to talk to the manager again or the owner but I was denied that he wasn’t available. Finally on Wednesday September 5th I called again but two times someone hugged up the phone on me. I tried again and finally someone picked up and I told him the situation and what had been happened he quickly apologized and he said he will help me out by translating because the manager can't really speak English. So right when he was explaining to the manager what I was saying and why I had called the manager started talking to me and said that if I called again he will call the police on me “WHY WOULD HE TELL ME SUCH A THING I THOUGHT THE MANAGER CARED ABOUT THE CUSTOMERES” guess I was wrong. So then I try to straighten out the situation but he started swearing to me in Spanish that was so unprofessional from him. I am disgusted from that experience that I went through especially because I work in Human Services. Read moreI first went on a Sunday afternoon with my wife I was on a business trip with my wife so we had heard great comments about it so we went to try it. I don’t know why we ended up getting seated by a grumpy person he just sat us without asking if that table was okay and he turned out to be our server we got our drinks right with our food and our appetizer after our food like really I was okay there’s a big problem here so my wife asked a young man if that’s how the restaurant worked and stuff cause our server barely stopped to check on us we just saw him in the kitchen area doing who known’s what. So the young man was so MODEST he was able to make things better for us and make our food more enjoyable that he promised that next time it will be better so my thumbs down from my first visit was switched into a big thumbs up we went back the following Saturday and saw the young man working hard cleaning and he was even sweeping outside the restaurant we walked in it was a really good feeling type of atmosphere it smelled cleaned and fresh the would benches were shinny and there was even a euro soccer game on tv so it made it more relaxing and better. He offered us drinks and he made us really good margaritas right away and this time our appetizer came first the cheese dip was so good. Our server made or experience more better and his promise was complete. I love the service that the young man gave us he smiled a lot and was always keeping a eye on us to make sure we didn’t needed anything our second experience turned out to be better than our first. I really liked how he knows the menu and what to recommend. I never had a server so good and well-mannered than him his smile what makes me want to go back more cause there’s nothing better than good service with a smile. I cant really remember his name but he is so nice and respectful that he can stand out from anyone I think it started with the letter (Y) but I cant really remember since his name isn’t common. And im looking forward on going back to Mazatlan again to get great service from my new favorite server. Read moreWe came here regularly for 13+ years, even getting take out regularly during covid to support them. Now, however, the service is lacking, food is sometimes cold and they often seem to forget about us and take forever to take our order. We often went at Happy hour and it would take 20-30 minutes before they'd take our order and when they finally did, it was then past happy hour prices and they'd charge us regular prices, which didn't seem right since it was their fault. For any refills on drinks, I have to hunt someone down to ask for them. And, the worst part of all, they often overcharge. CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS! Several times I have been charged more than what the menu price was. We are talking $4-5 difference overall, not just a few pennies.After the second time, I asked them about it and they said they were in the middle of changing the menus and the prices had changed. Months later we went again and SAME THING happened- overcharged and menu STILL not changed. This time, I insisted that i get the difference back-if your menu shows a price, that is what you have to charge, you can't make the excuse you are changing your menu prices for months on end and not do it and then charge a different price. That is disingenuous and wrong, and especially not right after knowing it was an issue MONTHS ago and never changing it. After the lady argued with us and gave us a nasty attitude when we asked to be credited the price difference between what it showed on the menu and what we were charged, we decided after 13+ years, we were no longer supporting them and haven't been back since. That was since Jan 2023. I bet they still have the "wrong" prices on the menu. It is sad how much it has changed...
