I’ve been going to this Starbucks for over 7 years now. It’s located within a mile from my house. It has been, and remains, the worst service/retail store I have ever experienced in my life. A coffee shop is meant to be part of the community, a hub to connect with other people. A social environment to read, write, be creative, or tend to office stuff remotely in an inviting aesthetic. This store has become more and more uncomfortable to the patrons who fund its existence with every “upgrade”. The doors are frequently, without warning, locked and a note posted to “use drive-thru”. In my prolonged patience I have adapted to the inept character of this location because I believe in sticking with something even if it’s not perfect, but enough is enough. Today, as usual, I waited to arrive at the store to verify the doors were open so I could sit inside while I enjoy a coffee and write. I verified no notes were posted and proceeded to order my drink from the Starbucks app. By the time I finished ordering, grabbed my bag, and made way for the doors… the new manager was posting another “lobby closed, use drive-thru” sign. I asked if I could cancel my order, desperate to recover from my growing frustration. I hoped I could at least order at another local store and pretend this never happened. Well, no luck. I was told by one of my favorite baristas at this store I’d have to cancel by calling corporate to get a refund… not her fault. So, I practiced every meditative mantra I could remember while waiting in the drive thru line capitulating defeat. (To be clear I despise a coffee shop drive-thru. In my opinion a drive-thru is the exact opposite of what a coffee shop is purposed for. After all, the reason the lobby was closed was to maintain the… yep, drive-thru. I digress). It’s then I decided I will never again visit this Starbucks. I have personally experienced so many failures to service, atmosphere, quality, and so on at this store. Today was the last for me. I hope a real coffee shop moves in locally for those of us who prefer the innate value of a thing for its intended purpose. To all the baristas I’ve enjoyed company with for the past years… thank you and good luck on your...
Read moreLiterally, one of the worst Starbucks ever. Unfortunately it’s not the workers fault. It’s definitely Management’s fault and the fact that they are hiring incompetent workers. They are rude, they’re so many other names that I would like to call them, but I’ll just keep it as they suck at their job, they are not polite, they will not accommodate you, but they are overworked and I really don’t know how to feel. The Starbucks is just a mess. The owner and the manager need to be changed. Don’t give the Starbucks your business I know it’s convenient but drive a couple miles and go to a different one.
Edit: they’ve really turned things around, hired good people that can handle the ungodly amount of uber eats and DoorDash orders on top of the INSANE drive thru rush hours. And keep things easygoing and Irie 🤙🏼 inside the establishment. Still it will probably really help them out if you don’t bum rush this place every day between 6am-2pm. These are good people but their not gods, if you live in the neighborhood like me you’ve probably seen the insane amount of people moving here from out of state and out of country, along with all of the condos and apartments. All those people are filling up our once local treasure and trust me; to them they see this Starbucks, it’s a red light, and they goin, and it’s yo fault. They late cuz they got their eyebrows did, they nails did, they eye lashes did, they makeup did, they everything did. In simple terms, outsiders iz taken over so personally for me to avoid that mess I just use Uber Eats in rotation, different Starbucks so I don’t overwhelm a single location. Yea this location is cool again but it really would help if they didn’t get hockey slammed by customers everyday at 4:30-lunch...
Read moreCame in with attempting to redeem a coupon I was emailed (my first time trying to do such a thing) and they were extremely unhelpful, pretentious and rude. As they were reading my order back, a part of it was wrong and when I spoke up to corrected them, they got angry, interrupted and said "let me finish first". Stood there in shock as I let them finish reading the flawed order, corrected them, and they immediately became flustered and accused me of giving them the wrong order in the first place. I had the coupon up on my phone's email and showed it to them, they barely looked at it and asked for my starbucks card. I told them all I had was a Starbucks app and they said in a frustrated tone "just show me the card on your app" ... I pulled up my Starbucks app, they scanned it and said "there's no coupon found here" to which I replied that I thought there was a code in the email. They acted very confused as I pulled up the email AGAIN while several customers were held up behind me; I offered for them to help the other customers out first but they angrily "it's faster if I just finish taking care of you". When I had the email up they looked at it for a while then "Oh why didn't you just say it was a code somethingsomethingsomething?! I have to enter that first then scan your card!" How was I supposed to know how you do your job? I had the email up in the first place the instructions had said. Very rude demeanor the entire time. ...
