Wilson's Cafe & Sports Bar — Restaurant in Hillsboro

Foods good, patrons that attend there are great. But had a couple of severs a couple years back be just awful. And hypocritical. Tell me that people are getting their food sooner than me because of phone in orders but everytime I call in they either don't pick up or when they do, they tell me to call back because they're busy.

Now I can overlook not picking up because peak foot traffic however, if you do pick up the phone during that time why not just take the order?

This is such a hole in the wall on the West side of Hillsboro across from the court house. Sometimes these are the best. And this was a great choice for adult beverages and a late lunch. Service was excellent by a gal who had a handle of the whole place. Happy Hour starts at 3 which was when we arrived. Lots of regulars but still comfortable to feel at ease. Nice menu to choose from with such large proportions, I had lunch the following day. My husband on the other hand, devoured his pastrami burger in no time...

Lovely place to catch a baseball or football game. We had fish and chips which felt like hand battered and not from frozen bags, and the fries were crispy and not oily. The place is rife with a dive bar vibe but in the most positive way. The patrons were super friendly as is the bartender. Oh and the drinks were stiff, shots were big, and the price on the very affordable range. You'll pay twice as much a block over and it will not have this kind of atmosphere of feeling at home.
