After reading the reviews, I’m actually surprised at how unpleasant our experience at the Plantation Cafe was. We went in for a quick meal (nothing was quick about this) on a Thursday at 11:20. Sat down, ordered drinks, an appetizer, two sandwiches (French dip for me and plantation for hubs), and lunch for our 1.5 year old daughter. Appetizer comes out, we have to ask for silverware, and we get mostly through it before they tell us they don’t have the ingredients to make my sandwich. Which is completely understandable, except we ordered over 20 minutes ago. So I’m trying to quickly pick something so we can eat while someone is giving me excuses about why they don’t have the ingredients, and I don’t care just next time make your staff aware. They bring out our daughters food and it’s mostly cold but she’s 1.5 so she doesn’t mind. Then they bring out our sandwiches and like I said, my husband ordered the Plantation and honestly it’s tiny. If you’re going to name a sandwich “plantation”, it’s going to be assumed that it’s bigger than a tea sandwich. It was dainty. A plantation is 500+ acres. See why this is confusing? Our sandwiches were just ok. We had to ask for everything we would typically need for the things we ordered (silverware, honey mustard for chicken tenders, refills when our cups were empty, ketchup for fries). Oh and we stayed at this restaurant an hour and a half. We were actually going to go back for breakfast another day of our vacation, but honestly I don’t want to spend another hour and a half at a place that would normally take us less than an hour to eat at. And that’s at full capacity. They...

The first thing that impressed us was the service. They were very solicitous and gracious, and the owner visited us several times!
The pride they take in their food came to the fore in the obvious freshness of the ingredients. The delicate snap of perfectly cooked green pepper and onion in the Creole Skillet, the smoky richness of the Andouille sausage, the juicy, flavor packed bites of fresh fruit. 🤤
The gluten free pancake was perfectly cooked, with a flour that allowed for a delicate consistency, no graininess, no doughy texture, and no heavyweight mouthfeel! 👌🏼
The star of the show, though, was the Crab Cake Benedict. These generously sized crab cakes embody the same fresh philosophy, with a perfect balance of substrate, veggie, seasoning, and light, succulent, huge chunks of delicious crab meat.
Two of these masterpieces are presented on a lightly grilled English muffin laid open, and capped with perfectly poached medium eggs, and topped with and excellent house hollandaise.
The result took me straight to flavortown. 😍
We’re so glad we stopped here, and we can’t...

Menu says egg sandwich on a kaiser roll. It came on a Sysco hamburger bun. When I asked the waitress about it, she said, "...yeah. I don't know why the menu says that." She did offer to bring me some other type of bread. Not sure how that would have worked.
The sandwich was thrown together. Three strips of bacon all in one stack, just thrown in there lazily.
I asked for butter on my sandwich. They gave me butter packets that I had to spread myself. This was a to-go order, so I had to sit there at the counter and complete the sandwich before I could eat it. I just ate there.
They ran out of coffee on my cup. 9:30am. She asked me to wait for a new pot. I said that I would take what was there and wait for the rest. Again, this was a to-go order.
Sounds from the TV and the music system were basically fighting it out, so nothing sounded good, and both were too low.
Almost every worker in there had an unenthusiastic look, as if they'd much rather be somewhere else. Horrible impression.
I almost never write reviews, but this experience was such that I felt compelled.
My advice would...
