Waste of time. Ordered at 630 in the evening. Got a confirmation email saying the pizza would be ready around 714. Then got an email a minute later, stating the pizza would be ready by 729. Not a big deal. Got there at 729 on the dot and waited in line at the bar for a few minutes. The person at the bar asked for my name and went back to the kitchen. She came back out and asked if it was under a different name and asked for my phone number. She then returned and advised me they were backed up and that it would be another 20 to 30 minutes. Once again, not a big deal. So my lovely lady and I went next door to Streatmeat and had some Coronas. Went back 30 minutes later, and observed a sign on the door that said they "ran out of pizza dough, sorry," so we stood in line for about 8 minutes while some old guy in front of us was complaining about them putting his order in front of him and then returning it back to the kitchen. He finally got his pizza and left. My lady became upset due to the staff ignoring us, even though they appeared to be slammed. It should be noted that while we were in line waiting, there was about 8 other customers waiting as well. The woman in line in front of us advised her order had already been pushed back almost an hour. After politely getting the attention of one of the employees, who was once again slammed, my lady asked if she knew how much longer the wait would be. She advised us that everything had been pushed back and could not tell us. The server then brought out our hotwings and mozzarella sticks. My lady then asked one more time if she knew how much longer it would be, and she advised the pizzas were just getting in the oven. My lady then advised her that we wanted to cancel our order, which was around $70 worth, and asked if we had paid online. She advised us that if we paid online, we would have to call a number and go through them to get our money back. It should be noted that as we were leaving, two other people in line behind us gave up as well and left. I have never had the opportunity to eat at this establishment. It was referred to me by my lady's sister who had great things to say about their pizza. Before we had ordered, I had looked at their reviews, and it was consistent that they had several five star reviews and several one / two star reviews. I took note, that unlike some businesses who get bad reviews, Bella Italia's comment towards a complaint, was a generic "dear customer, we apologise about your bad experience and have spoken to the staff. Hope to have you back soon." They clearly do not care. I have seen businesses who have received bad reviews, not only apologise and respond with the complainant's name, but offer to discount their next meal. I figured maybe Bella Italia was a newer restaurant and gave them the benefit of the doubt. However I was advised by a local, that the restaurant has been at the location for a few years. I’m a true native of the island, have been going here for years, and always order the same thing every time. I’ve never ever had any issues up until now. I went in to pick up my to go order of pizza before going to work yesterday. I tipped well and asked for no receipt because I was in a rush to work after waiting for my pizza to finish being prepared. I brought a pizza and side of pasta for my coworker to try and for myself. I always order the white based cheese pizza w/ ricotta. My coworker had to trash her slice because there was way too much minced garlic. It seems as if whoever prepared the pizza, accidentally was too heavy handed with the minced garlic. It was a crunchy consistency, where we bit into the pizza, and was very bitter, as if we were just eating raw minced garlic on bread. The heavy scent of garlic reeked in the break room, making me gag.
I called, asked if I could possibly have a replacement pizza. I was met with an attitude and almost chastised by Jessica. Instead of an apology for the inconvenience for having to travel back there and for the pizza not being to my liking, she tried to go back and forth. Jessica should learn to have more accommodating customer service skills and practice not escalating situations. The owner saw me yesterday pick up my food, I have no reasons to lie about purchasing the pizza, in fact I even brought the box full of pizza back to them, and showed the purchase transaction on my phone. I’m aware the pizza is supposed to have some garlic seasoning, but it’s like the person accidentally dumped the jar of minced garlic, at least in the area where my coworker and I tried eating. I’m only giving 3 stars because I’ve always had a pleasant experience there, however my interaction with Jessica was not. I was pretty irritated, I just wanted to leave from there asap. Read moreWe have arrived around 6:42pm on a Tuesday night (party of 4 and a child). We decided to sit outside, when we set down it was only one table outside and I would guess maybe semi busy inside. After we have been seated by a really nice lady she said someone will be with us shortly, that short time was 45mins and the server only came out to make the other table pay. By the time he got our order it was already another 2 table with guest who has been arrived after us. They have received service before us and the food! No idea how but I’m glad they did! Anyway, server took our order, we would think everything should be fine and waiting on our food. Well we were so wrong we end it up sitting there until 8:30pm and still haven’t received all our order. The order wasn’t big, neither difficult contained meatball linguine with ceaser salad a bowl of soup a kids pasta, garlic pasta with chicken and a pizza (never received the pizza after waiting till 830pm) he came out at least twice just making sure he got the orders right. The child is already fussy and hungry and sleepy (it was his dinner time). The food came out so slow I thought they are coming straight from Italy! Chicken was cold pasta was okay, kids food was steaming hot! Unable to feed the child! Linguine was okay I guess! We have never received the pizza!!!! We had enough of waiting and we asked for the bill!! The bill was all wrong and when I say all wrong that was like a rip off wrong! The meatball pasta was coming with a side salad, we have been charged for the salad we have been charged for 2 side pasta (ordered one) after some back and forth they made the receipt right!
