We stopped here on a Thursday evening around 7:30pm. The manager/host seated us inside but there were tables outside as well. Our waitress, Zoey, was absolutely wonderful! She was very kind and conversational and even took the time to talk with our son about his book and the importance of reading. She wasn't in a rush to turn the table and really made us feel welcome. (She's apparently the owner's daughter but we didn't find that out until after dinner when we asked for a manager to compliment her.) The outside of this place looked like they may be closed but the inside was fun and vibrant with cool graffiti artwork. The menu had a lot of variety from wings, to salads, burgers, etc and even a healthy menu with quinoa bowls and such. We ordered a soft pretzel with cheese sauce for an appetizer and it was hot and delicious. Hubby ordered a burger that had egg, slaw, etc. He said it was good and loved his fries too. Our son ordered a kid's cheeseburger and upgraded to fries and he enjoyed the burger. I ordered the chicken sliders as my meal and a side salad with the house ranch which was tasty. The food came out very quickly even though they had a full house inside. We all enjoyed our food. The service was incredible. The whole team was really hustling from the gentleman that brought out our food and helped clearing our table, to our waitress Zoe. You could also tell that the team all got along really well which is rare these days. We will be back next time we visit...
Read moreStreet Meet has officially earned a spot on our go-to list. We had an awesome experience, thanks in large part to our server, Kaelan, who was attentive, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of the entire time.
I ordered the Cuban, which was excellent – packed with flavor and perfectly done. I’m already eyeing the burger for next time, especially since they let you cook it to your preferred temperature – a rare and welcome option.
But the real surprise win? The homemade chips. I’ve been searching all over the island for chips like the ones we used to get back home – soft, warm, and floppy (basically undercooked a bit). Back home we called them “floppies” and would request them special and are best with tons of ranch dressing. Most places look at me sideways when I ask, but not here – they totally embraced it and nailed it. I’m hoping they add a “Tim’s Way” or “Tim’s Floppies” to the menu!
Street Meet is one of those simple, well-executed spots with plenty of variety – even our kids had a ton of options. Great food, great service, great vibe. We’ll...
Read moreWe tried Street Meet The American Tavern for the first time on our first night and it did not dissapoint! Shared the hot pretzel with cheese sauce for an appetizer. I had a veggie burger - it was actually for real homemade (not an Impossible/Beyond/etc. burger) and it was fantastic. Got the homemade onion rings as my side and I piled some on top of the burger. Hubby got the Turkey Jones which was a big sandwich with turkey, bacon, swiss, fries and gravy - also with the homemade onion rings for the side. And my 6 year old had a corn dog with potato chips, which wound up costing a whopping 50 cents because on Saturdays they have kids pay what they weigh - how fun is that! The names of items on their kids menu just cracks me up also (which is honestly what drew me to this place in the first place 🤣). And while we’re not from Ohio (I know, shocker) I can say that the decor is fun and the OH-HHI-O Bar tshirt they sell is super clever. Really great friendly service also. We chose to sit outside and were seated immediately at about 6 pm. We will certainly be...
