Bourbon Street Lounge — Restaurant in Hilton Head Island

I called before I showed up and the recorded message said they were open, but this was not the case. The place had no signs, which is what I kind of expected from a speakeasy. Storefront glass was all mirrored and they were closed.

...........5 months later I get a message from who I am guessing is the owner calling me a moron. Not only is this guy the real moron, but he's a douche on top of it. Hey man, forgive me for informing others about what I thought would be a great place to go to, and to not waste their time looking for a speakeasy that doesn't exist. I was in town on business paying it forward to others who may be from out of town. Your attitude seems to reflect on how your business was run. Avoid coming here. Would not recommend this place. Owner is extremely rude and arrogant.

My husband and I called ahead to see if they were open, they confirmed the time. When we arrived we were told they’re closed, but come back in an hour. Inconsistent, but okay.

Unassuming in the strip mall, but you’re transported as soon as you enter and go back in time 100 years. Great drinks stylized after prohibition era cocktails. Loved the Glenlivet! Sit at the bar and make great convo w Robert or seclude yourself in one of the many couchy areas for a romantic time. Love the decor! Please go so you can support Robert’s dream of getting an old red English phone booth where you have to say the secret password to get in!
