I paid $300 for custom birthday cookies for October 18th expecting high-quality designs and edible products for a special occasion, but I was severely let down. I had been so excited to about these cookies for my birthday and was eager to pick them up only to be severely let down!

For context: I emailed and asked for assorted designs of my favorite things: iced coffee, Muay Thai, a movie, martini glass etc. and at no point did they say that any of these designs are too difficult or need some extra time/money. Based off of their instagram this seemed like a very easy and simple task as they clearly do these elaborate designs often.

The issues included: • The cookies looked like stock photos printed onto the surface, which is absolutely unacceptable at this price point. I was expecting artistic, hand-crafted designs, not something this generic and impersonal. • One of the cookies—the sushi design—was particularly odd, with proportions and details completely off from what was requested. • Beyond their lack of aesthetic appeal, the cookies were not even edible.

I reached out to a friend who had recommended this business to me, and even they were shocked by how poor the quality was. They were saddened, as they had previously supported the owner and had been recommending this business to others.

To add to the disappointment, the customer service during pickup was rude and dismissive. While I initially brushed it off as them being busy, the lack of care in the product and service has made this entire experience incredibly frustrating.

I am heartbroken that I had to scramble to replace these cookies for my birthday. For $300, I expected exceptional quality and service, and unfortunately, this business failed to deliver on both fronts.

First photo is what I ordered. Second photo is what I received. I’m disappointed in the final product as the cookies I picked up, were not the cookies I ordered. I ordered the cookies Aug 1st for a scheduled pick up on Aug 15. Enough time for the creative process to be discussed. I sent the reference photo with the expectation that I would receive exactly what was sent. I have ordered custom cakes, cookies, etc and have always received exactly what was sent as reference so I was taken aback to receive this final product. As seen in the text attached, I asked for the 8 to be a 10, and I didn’t even receive a number cookie. When I did pick up, I didn’t initially speak up as I hadn’t seen the reference photo in two weeks, I was rushing to an appointment and needed to process if I was actually upset. But upon further inspection, I wish the creative process would’ve been discussed with me. Based on the text attached, is it fair to say that I expected to receive what I asked for. I didn’t get a number 10 cookie. I didn’t get a detailed Xbox remote. I got a number 10 on a less detailed Xbox remote that felt like a weak after thought. I wish it would’ve been mentioned to me initially that the final product would’ve been a variation of the reference photo. Not even sure where the stars came from. Needless to say, the final product is cute, but no where near as detailed as I expected them to be.
