Attain Medspa — Local services in Hoboken

As a culmination of many years of coming to this medspa ever since they opened, I’ve had a mix of experiences. Some okay, some not so great, some awful.

As I permanently depart and move onto a new provider, I can now speak of my experiences candidly.

I have seen nearly every provider who has worked here but tended to settle on 2-3 nurses and aestheticians. I’ve received filler all over my face, Botox, body contouring, facials and skin resurfacing procedures. Some were good, some were mediocre, some were unbelievably painful and impossible to even consider repeating.

As a noob without knowledge of quality care in the beginning menu years ago, I felt like I was getting immeasurably good service. I was a bit naive to believe this but once I experienced other providers.., I came to realize this is a very mid- level kind of place. This is indisputable and not something an experienced client of more than one medical spa can agree to. A facial alone is not enough to judge., I’ve had the kitchen sink done at Attain.

Without giving every single detail I’ve experienced, filler technique is mid. It’s not… hole in the wall quality. But it’s certainly not artist level, attention to detail kind of work. Do not expect facial mapping, do not expect ultra sound to investigate and compare prior work, do not expect a long appointment. I have experienced this elsewhere and now I unquestionably know I was not receiving what is considered the best technical work. My Botox appointments were regularly less than 5 minutes, this is not good.

I experienced paradoxical masseteric buldging as a result of masseter Botox.. I was told this is normal and will self correct. This is purely not true. I was either blatantly lied to or the person who injected me was uneducated.

I experienced multiple nodules and mucosal bubbles on my lips as a result of lip filler. I was dismissed and told it will self correct on its own. This is also not true, and commonly the result of improper technique.

I experienced migration of filler, uneven distribution, and honestly just sub-par work. My face looked… witchy. I looked older than I really am.

I experienced significant pain and incredibly difficult recovery and MORE scars as a result of scar treatments. What should’ve happened was localized INJECTED numbing, which is what I received in places I’ve been ever since departing from Attain. Results were mild despite the treatments promising more significant changes.

I received the same type of procedures elsewhere and experiences very mild discomfort, no pain at all during the SAME procedures and vastly noticeable changes in scars.

I’ve given this place many chances and years of my life and after going to other, higher quality places to fix all the mistakes I’ve experienced.., I can say for sure… Attain is just okay. It’s not a place I would return to. Please be careful on who you see. Please do not rush, speak your mind, ask a lot of questions, if you end up feeling dismissed… leave. I made the mistake of staying because I’m a notably loyal person. This one did...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Attain for various skincare treatments, and I can't help but express my utmost satisfaction with the exceptional service provided by their talented estheticians. In particular, my experiences with Angelica and Kate have been nothing short of transformative.

Since my visits to Attain, I've received numerous compliments on the radiance and clarity of my skin. The combination of Ang's Jet Peel facial and Kate's dermaplaning has undeniably elevated my skincare routine, and the noticeable improvements have left me feeling more confident. I highly recommend this medspa to anyone seeking personalized, top-notch skincare treatments in Hoboken.

Additionally, I must commend the outstanding customer service provided by the Operations Director, Hailey. From the moment I stepped in, Hailey's guidance through the entire experience was invaluable. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine concern for my comfort and satisfaction truly set the tone for a seamless and enjoyable visit.

Anyone who is tired of going to med spa after med spa without any results book an appt at Attain. I have tried cheaper med spas in Hoboken and it was not worth it. One place messed up a tiny bit of Baby Botox I had done and collapsed my eyebrows!!! Another place pressured me into doing botox on my forehead even though I have no forehead lines and I was so uncomfortable and miserable for months with a crazy stiff frozen forehead. Attain is not just for injectables though. They can help with serious skin issues. If you have acne scars come to Attain and see Renee. She will figure out a treatment plan that actually works. She goes above and beyond to get your skin to where you want it to be. It won't be overnight but she will help and assist you on your skincare journey without being pushy or trying to upsell you. She WILL be honest about what she thinks you need and do though. Happy to have found her after years of wasted time and money at spas all over NJ and NYC. Yes there are cheaper spots in Hoboken and NYC but you get what you pay for and it's not worth messing...
