Pizzeria Hoboken — Restaurant in Hoboken

What is concerning for me and what I needed to speak out on is that the owner is not a nice, respectable business person and because of this he has lost my business and I implore you to reconsider yours. I lined up to send pizza pies to my daughter’s school last month and early in the week, I called and spoke to a young man regarding changing the date from the coming Friday to another following Friday, this Friday. The man confirmed the change and noted I was all set. Perhaps it was shame on me for not calling immediately when they opened at 11am on Friday to confirm the change however later that day, I heard that the pizza was delivered, despite my call to change. When I was able to finally approach the pizza shop, to my dismay, the owner replied that I cannot be trusted to determine that I actually called earlier that week to reschedule and that he would not honor sending pizza to my daughter free of charge this upcoming Friday. STAY AWAY, DISHONEST BUSINESS PRACTICES!!!!

We have lived in Hoboken for 10+ years and this is a first!!!

My wife saw the 16 inch cheese pizza online is 13$ so she calls the place (yes, I know - very old school) and orders a pizza. So far, do good.

When she gets there, the guy says it's 22$ because there's a discount for online purchases. So if you call them, they will not inform you that you'll be TRICKED to pay 9$ more. My wife is a non confrontational person, so she paid and left.

When I've called, they wouldn't let me speak to the owner and when I've asked to return the pizza to be refunded they said no.

When I've suggested to dispute this transaction with the credit card company, leave a 1 star review and let all our friends know about their shady practices - they responded that sounds better to them 🤯🤯🤯

I couldn't possibly rate this place any higher. It's 95 degrees outside. Inside this place it is easily 5-10 degrees hotter. It was super uncomfortable 🥵. How can anyone enjoy a meal that way? It is one of the hottest days in the last decade and we felt relief when we stepped outside. Guess I shouldn't complain because I was only there for 15 minutes or so while we ate our slices. Can't even begin to imagine how the employees must feel. Now let's get to the actual meal. We ordered 1 pepperoni slice🍕 and 1 cheese slice, no drinks and the total was $9.06 👎. If it was good pizza, I could probably stomach the price. But between the 100 degree temp inside, the expensive prices and the completely burnt pizzas, it was a terrible experience.
