This afternoon, after a long walk with the dog, I found myself parched and just a block away from Joey No Nuts. I arrived, and explained the the young woman that I was in need of something: 1) Refreshing, first 2) Decaffeinated, second She told me about the iced teas they have in stock and recommended the hibiscus raspberry iced tea. Apprehensively*, I agreed, but she sensed my excitement was less than 100%. (*Listen, I love their hibiscus raspberry iced tea, as is, but today I was just searching for a bit of an extra pick-me-up) She told me about another drink, one that isn't ~on~ the menu. It's a hibiscus raspberry iced tea with a bit of sugar and lemon extract. Voilà. I was sold. And, can I tell you that it HIT THE SPOT 10/10 I'm writing because: 1) I appreciate the amazing customer service 2) I hope the drink gets added to their menu for others to enjoy on hot summer afternoons.

Joey No Nuts Cafe re-imagines the coffee shop experience by combining boutique decor with an electric choice of brews. The cafe exudes modish, sixth-borough enthusiasm while maintaining an air of low-key charm as though it's been a neighborhood fixture for years. The selection is deep enough to satisfy every taste without making for an overly thought-out decision process. My go-to drink is the Red Eye, a brewed coffee super-charged with a shot of espresso. A chalkboard sign depicting a familiar, Halloween-themed monster welcomes you at the entrance, and the homemade, Hollywood-inspired dioramas that line the walls inside the shop add to the ambiance. The perfect place to stimulate the mind, jolt your senses and jump-start the day, for Hobokenites and day-trippers alike!

Joey no nuts coffee is so good. I have tried so many drinks there, hot and cold, they were all delicious. The coffee smells good, I can have so many cups a day. For an afternoon treat, the iced caramel latte and pumpkin spice are my favorites. The owners are super nice and friendly. They have top notch customer service. Also, their muffins are tasty and filling. I love this place so much that I have their coffee at home in my Joey no nuts coffee mug. Favorite coffee place in Hoboken.

I don't normally feel compelled to leave a review but I have to give this place props for being so dependable when it comes to the ideal coffee shop experience. I've been to every cafe in Hoboken and Jersey City. Tasted it all. Because I LOVE coffee. And a lot of them are really good. But I will always come back to Joey No Nuts for my favorite cup. The espresso drinks are consistently perfect. Whether it's a cortado, iced espresso (my fav) or regular brew... the balance is spot on every single time—smooth af, never bitter. (For a former barista like me, this is everything.) Kind of place where regulars are greeted by name, and newcomers feel like they’ve just found their spot. Because they're good people who want what we want, the perfect cup of Joe with a peaceful vibe. And if you're a music fan, forget it, you'll come back just to hear their collection of LPs. Worth the walk for this...
