I don’t know HOW a place like this can get so many good ratings. We were driving to the White Mountains and we were looking for a place for lunch. The good reviews and menu appeal promoting home cooked meals lured us in. The two servers weren’t rude, but they were far from pleasant. Every local that came in to the restaurant was greeted nicely. Which I think is wonderful. But, when customers who are obviously not locals are ignored, the message is clear. But, most of this One Star rating is based on the horrible food. I had the “crispy” fried chicken, whose only saving grace was that it was crispy. It was obviously frozen and had very little actual meat; the little resemblance to anything poultry was very poor quality. My side of pickled beets was so old the beets were light pink. Their original dark beet-red color left on Labor Day. My wife’s homemade meatloaf was as old as the pale beets. Both servers seemed unhappy with their job. Our server never returned once our meal was dropped off, never inquiring if we needed anything, etc. We sat feet from her when it was obvious we stopped eating and we’re ready for our check. She sat at the counter directly across from us folding napkins for the next days meals. Never once looking over at us. I approached the counter to pay as it was obvious after several minutes that she had no intention in approaching us. She was done with us and was preparing for another miserable day. Do not exit the highway to Annie’s Overflow unless you’re a local. And even then, try another local establishment which might have better quality food. Then again, maybe the fresh, good quality food is served...

I was here once in college and it wasn't bad, but today's breakfast with the family was horrible. I'd acclaim it to be because of it being a busy Sunday morning and usually I don't write reviews but both the food and service were abysmal. We waited over ten minutes for drinks and menus, which is fine, it was semi busy, but the table we had was dirty, with trash and food left over from the previous customers. Nobody offered to clean the table even though we had piled the trash and food to one side of the table, it remained there throughout our meal. The soda that we got was flat, the CO2 had run out of the machine and when it was replaced twice it remained flat. When we got the food the pancakes and the bacon were burnt and with three kids under the age of 5, we chose not to bother with another long wait for food. The strawberries and whipped cream were forgotten on the pancakes. And if this wasn't a poor experience as it was, the final tipping point was when the busboy came into the room with a very strong body odor and as we were sitting by the AC unit, he kept standing in front of it basking our table in the stench. I was really disappointed in today's experience as a year ago my experience was nothing like this and I had hoped to bring my family here for a good Sunday breakfast. The waitstaff were very friendly I have to say but the price of our meal was crazy! We order the same things at any restaurant for breakfast and it costs us 35 but today it...

This was not my first time here and in the past I learned it was getting a little down in quality.

This visit was unexpected but main street diner was packed so we went here.

We were a big group of 6 so I was expecting things to be a little behind.

The overall time to sit was not a problem it was the way we were sat. They took 2 tables of different sizes and pushed them together, although I appreciate the effort it was not comfy lol. Also do to luck I was sitting under a vent that led to the outside so I was getting a cold breeze the entire time. I used my hood but my feet eventually got cold.

The honest problem is not the seating.

The food itself was a huge let down from the way its put together to over cooked home fries to small portion sizes. The bread was great though lol to some people in our group getting cold food. Also the drinks were far and in between. Just overall not a good exsperience.

I used to like this place and will try it again in the feature to see if I can change my review.

I hope this place gets better.

All and all I suggest still trying this place and forming your own...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We stopped at Annie’s Overflow Restaurant on Tuesday morning of Labor Day weekend, lucky enough to extend our stay and miss the traffic. Having been here before, we knew we were in for a great breakfast—and once again, it didn’t disappoint! The specials are always creative, and this time I tried the blackberry-stuffed French toast—absolutely amazing. The coffee flowed freely (always topped off, never empty), and the wait staff made the experience even better. They’re friendly, attentive, and genuinely fun to chat with. This is exactly the kind of place you want to find in a local community—warm, welcoming, and consistently delicious. Highly recommend Annie’s if you’re in the area and want a breakfast spot that always delivers.

We came into town for skiing and decided to give this place a visit because of the good reviews. I normally don’t like whining but my experience was extremely poor. The service was rude, no greeting, no please, with attitude. Serving us while chowing food in her mouth. I’m not sure if it was just that one server because the other servers seemed nice. The food was even worse, I have never had egg benedict cooked this way. It was utmost overcooked and rubbery. I don’t even want to comment on the steak. Absolutely disgusting. We could tell that it was cooked from frozen. The atmosphere match the food really well. If you are not from town, consider going somewhere else. Otherwise you will walk away laughing and with regrets.

We had been on vacation, and couldn't find a breakfast place open on a Tuesday. Well we found Annie's Overflow. Our service was OUTSTANDING!!!! Our server was Annie herself. She was truly a delight! Food was so DELICIOUS!!! Bacon was nice, and crisp, pancakes had blueberries inside (yum), and eggs were good as well. Sorry the pictures I'm showing are of our food after we ate. I forgot to do it before. If you go to Annie's Overflow you won't be disappointed.
