I used the Staples Store in Holland, Michigan for over 10 years. Every time, other than today I was more than satisfied with the customer service, the staff was always very helpful, my jobs were completed right away with the help of the employees, nothing went wrong, never. I should mention that even when I needed something printed or laminated urgently, the staff was very helpful and never asked more than my name and phone number for the order. Today however, the lady behind the counter did not want to help with my one sheet lamination. First she said she needs to open an order. Ok, that’s fine I said. Then she asked for my phone number and my name. Ok. Then she asked for my home address. I replied that she doesn’t really need my home address to just laminate one sheet of paper. She said she should call for the manager. The manager didn’t want to help me either, and kept asking for my home address, then saying the job would be done in one hour. There was nobody in the store, there was nobody waiting, it was just me asking for a one sheet lamination and the two of them talking to me. Manager kept saying it would be done in one hour and he needs my home address or email. I said use blabla@yahoo.com, he said Ok, if that's your email address. That is the store manager, if you can believe it!!! I left the store, as I couldn’t wait for one hour to have one sheet of paper laminated, when there were no other customers and the staff was not busy. I would never use Staples in Holland as long as the manager Darryl works there. He is not a manager, he doesn’t care about customers or their urgent matters, he is killing time just like the lady working beside him. My contract was not completed and lost one job because the staff and manager at Staples in Holland, MI, refused to do a one minute lamination order. Shame on whoever hired these people and keeps them hired, when they refuse to do their job or helping customers. After 10 years of using Staples in Holland, MI, I will never give them my business again. Yes, it was on Labor Day and they refused to put in some labor, even though the store was open for business. Very disappointing after 10+ years of...
Read moreI ordered a chair from Staple’s website (which is a completely different entity than the store) and they sent the wrong chair. I called this store to see if they have the chair I wanted in stock. Sure enough they did and they were able to put it on hold for me.
I went to the store and returned the chair. After returning the chair, I find out they weren’t able to give me a gift card in store, because Staples online was a separate entity.
The employee wasn’t 100% sure if they sent the gift card back through email or snail mail. But he was leaning towards email and that I’d receive it in 24-48hrs. I asked them to keep the chair on hold for me since I knew it was a popular item. They happily said they would.
I left the store and found out the online Staples sends the gift card in snail mail which will get to me in 7-10 business days. I wasn’t happy since so didn’t have an office chair and I work from home.
I called the Staples store to see if they were willing to hold the chair until I got the card in the 7-10 business days. They said “Definitely. No problem.”
7-10 business days passed and finally on the 17 BUSINESS DAY (And yes business days Mon-Fri) came and I got the gift card.
I called the store and they STILL had the chair on hold for me. I get to the store and, sure enough, the chair was there for me to pick up.
The same, employee I talked to at the beginning was there and he even gave me a discount on the chair for the issue.
I definitely wasn’t happy at the online Staples. I will NEVER order from them again.
I will definitely go to this Staples if I ever need any other...
Read moreI have given this location multiple chances and each time I have shopped here they have disappointed me. I believe the main problem stems from incompetent employees and managers. Nevertheless, if you do a pick up order do not expect your stuff to actually be ready for you when you arrive. Often times the items are not bagged and have just been thrown in a large bin with other orders that the employees then have to dig through. I do pick up orders at many different stores to save myself time loading kids in and out of the car. While Staples allows you to place pick up orders, and pay in advance and even have a special parking spot for you to park, they will not bring your items out to your car. I personally will be shopping at different stores from now on for all my office supplies due to my many bad experiences at this...
