Blair county is known for several things. Luigetta’s salad is one of them. Outsiders question it. It’s just lettuce and tomato they say, but it’s more. The dressing makes it memorable. If you are from the Altoona section then maybe you are loyal there, from the Hollidaysburg section then maybe you are loyal there. Either way come for the salad. Always, always get it on the side. The menu in Hollidaysburg is more vast and you can grab some jars of dressing to take home with you but once you’ve had it you’ll never forget it. Waitress was really nice, but the food was a real let down from my expectations. Got the Cheesesteak hogie and the bun was super soggy from all the grease. Got a side salad and had to send it back bc the bowl was half filled with dressing... like cereal. Again, it was a let down on my last, but i've typically been a Luigetta's fan. My experience at this location though was enough to make me pass next time......

This was the first time that I visited, with a friend from the area. The salad that I had was truly delightful, and the house dressing was unlike any that I experienced.
