Today, I went there to China Uno for Lunch at 2:00pm. I sat down and ordered water. Then I was given a Menu, and I ordered what I wanted from there. So, I specifically ordered an L5 (Sesame Chicken Lunch Box) from the time between 10:30am - 3:00pm due to the fact that I came in there at 2:00pm. But something went wrong on my ticket, the waitress overcharged me $9.69 instead of $7.04. They thought I ordered an all-day Sesame Chicken instead of the Lunch Box One. Someone in the kitchen almost set me up with an egg roll. But don't get me wrong, the egg roll was good though, but didn't ask for an egg roll nor did I ordered anything from any all-day menu. I'm not sweating over this, but I know what I ordered and I get what I paid for. Did I ask the waitress to have an egg roll to be put on the plate?? No, I did not.
Whoever had a miscommunication problem today, but it was certainly not me. I was not the one with a speech or an eye problem. if anyone thinks I am playing, then shame on them for trying to talk over me instead of letting me clarify the fact that someone put the egg roll in my plate instead of informing me not to eat it. I didn't like the fact that the China Uno employers/employees tried to mess my order up which caused me to overpay for the food because of their problems. That wasn't right because I got lucky that I didn't pay $9.69 this time. Also, it would've been best for the workers to keep their mouth shut and listen to whatever the customers, especially me, was addressing what happened on my ticket. Otherwise, I could've gotten away with changing the price from $9.69 to $7.04, and you all wouldn't have been happy with the results. So now, they've gotten my ticket straighten out, and I only had to pay $7.04 from the Lunch Box Menu.
Now the moral of the story is... Dear waitress, the next time you take anybody else's order, please pay close attention to what they are saying or what they are looking at. Otherwise, some of the customers may lose respect of your business, and it would not be a good thing at all. I understand that nobody is perfect, and we all make mistakes. Trust me, but I'm not worried about you all trying to rip me off with the same problem ever again. The next I come to your restaurant and order anything from a Lunch Box Menu, I will make sure that I will have at least $7.04 cash ready to pay before I leave the restaurant. Even if I have seven ones and a nickel to pay for my lunch, I'd still be walking away with you keeping the one...
Read moreI would have for sure given this place 5 stars if I wasnt overcharged! I called in last Sunday 2/25 for 2 combo’s of general tsos chicken (one with egg fried rice, one with pork fried rice). I informed him this was my first time ordering & this place was recommended to us but then I was charged $40!!!
NEVER in my life have I paid more than $13 per combo for this as I ate this meal my whole life from a million Chinese spots. Upon looking at the receipt he charged me the regular size for every single item individually! Just general tsos chicken platter was $13.95… then charged $5-7 per rice container. Why would you charge me all larger items individually instead of the combo!! Then told me the combo’s only come with steamed white rice…yet the menu clearly says white or pork fried rice with combos for $11.95 each. And that it’s extra charges (a whole $5+) to make pork fried rice or egg fried rice …..huh?
I called back in and instead of just settling the issue and giving us the appropriate refund and smaller portions or the small combo we asked for, the guy continued to go back and forth with me. So I said forget it , told my husband just take the food and leave.
Overall, the food was DELICIOUS! The BEST Chinese food in the entire Fuquay-Holly area. They even give a side of dessert which were donuts that were amazing! But having this first experience and being way overcharged with no solution makes me want to never order...
Read moreI am not often impressed with Chinese take-out. Most of it tastes like it came from the same supplier, and while I had favorite locations, it was honestly tough to distinguish between them on the basis of food. So even in spite of the reviews, my expectations of China Uno were not high. But today, I'm a believer.
This place was exceptional, and exceptional in many ways. The food was absolutely fantastic, and I felt like I was in a much more expensive Chinese restaurant. The General Tso's chicken was crispy and delicious. The fried rice had this unique smokey flavor to it that I never knew I wanted in my fried rice. Somehow, even the fortune cookies managed to be exceptional (thicker and more flavorful).
But not only was the food excellent, everything else about our experience was as well. The interior was spacious and calming, very clean, and much larger on the inside that it looks on the outside. The service was well above what I'd expect from a place like this. Our server and the owner were both very friendly and inviting, and you could tell they wanted our return business. Well, they have it. I look forward to my next visit.
I rarely ever write reviews, but this place was surprisingly empty for a Saturday night, and I wanted to see these guys get some business. Places like this are worth supporting just to try to keep...
