I am very disappointed in my stay at this location. I have stayed at many Hamptons and have never had an issue until now. During our first night there, our vehicle, along with ten others, was broken into. On the second night, we had to switch rooms because the air conditioning broke. At no point did hotel management reach out to offer any condolences. It was not until the cleaning staff informed us we were checking out on Thursday morning, when we were actually supposed to check out on Sunday, that I finally encountered a manager who apologized. This only occurred because I had to go down to the front desk to address the issue of our incorrect checkout date. When I explained how bad our stay had been, the manager offered me a free night out of the five I had booked, despite my telling her that the cost to fix the window on the truck was three times that amount. She assured me that the general manager would reach out to me that evening, but that never happened. There were no cameras in the parking lot, and several lights were out. It is astonishing that the alarms went off on the vehicles, yet hotel staff was unable to hear them, allowing the thieves to break into ten vehicles. Worst of all, not one staff member reached out to apologize. We were woken up during our vacation by police before 6 a.m. to inform us that our vehicle had been broken into. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. I am a very dissatisfied customer. I am extremely disappointed in this Hampton. I still have yet to hear from the general manager. If we could have switched hotels, we definitely would have. I would have appreciated an apology and at least a few nights comp to cover the expense of fixing the window on the vehicle. If they had at least had functioning cameras or all the parking lot lights working, and if someone had reached out with an apology and shown that they cared, it would have made a difference—but instead, there was...
Read moreWe stayed here for our 2016 Family Reunion in nearby Angier. We stayed from 8/5 through 8/8/2016. Check in was smooth as glass. It went downhill from there. The night of 8/5 the fire alarm goes off. We exit. My wife is disabled so me and other hotel guests help get her down the steps. No hotel staff in sight to give directions, head count, check rooms for other disabled persons----nothing. Finally I and another gentleman who was assisting with my wife, ask the fire department. They say it is OK to return to our rooms. A detector in a room on the second floor set the alarm off. ---------- Sunday 8/7, we are packing for the long trip on Monday and the lights go out after a thunderstorm rolled through. About 25 minutes later I decide to walk down and ask the manager how long the lights will be out--NO EMERGENCY LIGHTING ON THE STAIRWELL--this is a mandatory requirement. Other guests are also stumbling down the dark stairwell, so I hold my iphone light to guide them down the steps. We get down and inform the manager who actually looks us in the face and says the emergency lights are only supposed to stay on for one hour. Well here is a little FYI--the minimum requirement is 1-1/2 hours and lighting is available that will stay illuminated for over 10 hours. With the name Hampton, I would have assumed you had splurged for the 10 hour lighting to protect your guests. -------- I return to my room and the fire alarm goes off AGAIN!! Then the lights come on and go back out and finally back on again. The hotel manager is trying to clear the alarm from the panel and has no clue what to do so he calls someone else who has no clue. We slept with one eye open and checked out early Monday morning--relieved to leave...
Read moreAfter the 3rd time the breaker tripped to my room in 2 days, they stopped responding quickly. Imagine you are in the middle of shampooing you hair, the lights go out so you try to rinse off the best you can and call the front desk but they leave you on hold for a long time (considering the situation) so you have to go to the lobby and ask in person. By the time they reset it, you are late for your job because you still are not done with your morning routine, and the older i get, the more i need that routine. I used to love Hampton Inns, but it is time for a change after this. I could not stay the whole visit. When I returned from work I finally made it to my room through the big bus load of people checking in and tying up the elevator. My dang keys did not work ugh... You guessed it back through the chaos I go trying to get my key made so I could regain entry into my room. Later that night, I was laying in bed and the remote batteries are dead....Then you guessed it the breaker tripped again. It took 2 phone calls ringing out to the time limit before someone responded. Ugh... next morning in the shower the breaker trips again...ugh... I want some ice to enjoy a soda and after walking all the way to the other end of the dang building I see the ice machine is down so my choices are to have a warm drink or explore every floor in the building for a working machine to which I say. This place sucks and I just skip my morning routine to get out of here. The place is bring run down. You can tell the owners are not spending money...
