I’ve found some great items here, but it’s definitely not the best Goodwill in the area. My biggest frustration with this location and many others nearby is their habit of writing prices directly on items with permanent marker. Whether I’m shopping for myself or picking up pieces to resell, it’s incredibly irritating to find an otherwise great item ruined by marker.
I understand the excuse is to prevent tag switching, but I’ve been to plenty of Goodwills in other states that simply use stickers instead. It’s a much more customer friendly approach. I don’t understand why that can’t be done here. And honestly, even if a few people are switching tags, Goodwill receives all of its items as donations, so it’s not like the organization is taking a loss.
Another ongoing issue is the checkout process. I don’t think I’ve ever visited a Goodwill in this area where I didn’t have to wait several minutes or hunt someone down in the back to get checked out. I’ve actually had to cut shopping trips short because I knew I’d be standing around just trying to pay. It’s frustrating and takes away from the...
Read moreI had a very bad experience in the store sometime ago. I was unemployed at the time I came in looking for a purse and a wallet. I found one and I made the mistake Of not looking through it first, when I went to the checkout counter the woman that check me out looked through the wallet and there was a $50 bill sitting right there like it was meant to find me thank God! out of the whole wallet that was the only thing in it which I’m sure whoever Donated it intended it for the person that is purchasing the wallet some people do that! but instead the woman calls over another employee and they both decided to take the $50 bill and tells me they are going to track down the person that donated it to give it back to them , which I know was an out right lie because number one how can you even begin to do that? they kept that money for themselves instead of who I’m sure the money was intended for so please if anybody is donating something here and the decides to slip a little something in for the less fortunate please don’t do it here because the employees will...
Read moreThis Goodwill seems to have a front customer management problem. Categories of items all have a base price, so tell me why i went up to buy some items that apparently THEIR team forgot to price, and was told bc of that I can't purchase my items? Surely, when we can ALL see the price of shirts is the same, if I got 3 you SHOULD know the price already. How is it my fault the team there put items out without pricing them, and I'm unable to purchase over their mistake? I made it clear to the cashier these were the only items I wanted to buy and know they have a set price already, and got "sorry the team didn't price it so I can't sell these items to you". I left immediately and walked out. You'd really rather lose customers than do your job or help customers spend money in your store? This staff needs to be retrained, until then I gotta...
