We placed an order online today for pick-up. Paid their extra high price for a combo. When we got there they told us they had NO ICE and NO COLD DRINKS to sell. Okay. Things happen. Adjust my total or give me the "option" of having a drink w/ no ice. Nope. They didn't care. Got to the car to find they did not put the chips (that came with the combo) in the bag, nor did they put the extra "side" of chips we paid for in the bag - We had to go back inside to get them. How about not taking orders for drinks if you have no ice (at 1pm). There is a Harris Teeter across the parking lot. They sell ice. Or better yet, TELL customers you have no ice before you ring up the drink. The person at the register let the person after me order a drink and never said a word about not having ice. The employees did not care one bit. I paid $25 for 2 med subs, 2 chips and 1 medium drink. Lesson learned. There are great subs all over town. I'm sorry, but customer service is everything.    Read moreI've had a few subpar experiences at this Firehouse location but this recent experiences may be my last. I ordered a hot steak & cheese sandwich at 1:13pm for pick up at 2:05 PM. I arrived @1:50pm and planned to ask if they could make it early. To my surprise, the sandwich was already prepared sitting on a shelf. When I got to my car, I noticed the sandwich had already cooled down, so it mustâve been prepared and sitting for awhile. Additionally there was barbecue sauce on the half sandwich! It appeared like the employee made a mistake adding BBQ but instead of replacing the bread, just continued on with the preparation. I provided this feedback to Firehouse in a survey within a few days, and received an apology from corporate customer service within a few days but I was never contacted by restaurant management. I even followed up again with corporate care but still never received a response from the restaurant.    Read moreCame in today, 12-14-23, for name-letter-day. We ordered a steak and cheese and a NY Steamer. The steak and cheese was no more than roast beef on a piece of stale bread. No cheese, no nothing but chewy beef and the New York steamer only had stringy corned beef, no pastrami, and no Dijon mustard or Italian. It wasn't what I ordered and it was disgusting. Also, they were twice the price they were supposed to be, $6.99. We got charged $14 for one. When I called to speak with the manager, he had already left and the remaining staff didn't seem to be aware of the concept of customer service or how to have a basic phone conversation. The only reason we went here was because they were kind enough to donate some sandwiches to a local hospital and I thought that warranted reciprocation of patronage.
