I picked up a to go order and ordered two fries with my order. They only gave me one but charged me for two. The female manager just shrugged her shoulders and said “we are busy.” The bacon hamburger I ordered came without bacon - of course I didn’t discover this until I arrived at home. The only resolution I was offered for the fries was to pay for another order of fries.
Worst service I have experienced at Chesters’ in 20 years. There is no excuse for that kind of service.
I have eaten there on average every months for 20 years. I have never been treated the way I was this evening. It was bad enough to have me avoid this restaurant in the future.
Right before I picked my order a lady asked about an incorrect order where they gave her fries instead of onion rings. The same manager blew her off and just said “well you only paid for fries”. Again - treating customers like this is inexcusable. They finally gave her onion rings. However - the manager asked where this lady was sitting - but rather than deliver them (as she implied she would) they let them get cold at the pick up counter.
If the owners of Chester’s now feel like this is how paying customers in this economy are to be treated - then avoid this restaurant...
Read moreI used to eat here pretty regularly when I was living here about 5.5 years ago. There are a few things that I think they need to address as I think they should allow you to purchase a large fry instead of just only giving you 1 option of the small fry they need to offer at least 1 other cheese option lots of us cannot eat American cheese, cheddar would be the next best option but they do not have any other option and I also recommend that they use yellow onion instead of white onion, the white onion gives people heartburn. It would also be nice if they were more cautious on how they make their Tea the sweet tea is way too sweet and they are cooking it too long which makes it bitter on the after taste, also the manager on duty that day was very rude to a few customers. Sometimes people forget their masks in their car there was 2 different people that forgot their masks and they walked in without them and the way that that manager addressed them was entirely unprofessional, Needless to say neither of the people came...
Read moreWhen craving a traditional delicious cheeseburger, this place is it… It resembles the best burger joints I’ve ever been to since I was a kid in the sense that it tastes like an old fashioned hamburger, and the setting is quite old fashioned too, I must admit. The food is absolutely five stars.. Our order came out exactly as we had requested, the french fries were crispy and plenty, I ordered double cheese on my double meat and it was a very delicious and exquisitely-cheesy experience that hit a special spot that hadn’t been hit in decades. I was only visiting San Antonio briefly, but if I lived in San Antonio, this place would definitely be my regular cheeseburger-craving hotspot! You won’t regret it!
These days, fast food drive-thrus have become so low-quality that I can’t stand any of it… None of it, even Whataburger is now very questionable in many locations now that it has gone under new management, so places like Chester’s are a dying breed, and I very much cherish and support those like it that still exist.....
