This is my second time visiting last night after having a great experience during the first visit and the waitress Gretel ruined the experience this time. I told her that I wanted ceviche, fried calamari and arroz con marisco. She repeated back ceviche chaufa y calamari frito. I said again arroz con marisco. The food came out and I received ceviche mixto with chaufa. I asked her where’s the calamari? She was like “oh the trio dish doesn’t come with fried calamari but with fried fish.” I proceeded to taste the chaufa and didn’t like it. The ceviche was too spicy for both mine and my boyfriend’s My boyfriend ordered no spicy. Not sure if it’s because the chef is a female this time? Last time it was a male chef. The waitress noticed my disappointment and asked me what is wrong? I told her that I ordered arroz con marisco and she argued with me staying I said chaufa. I was shocked and my boyfriend was too. He said no she didn’t say chaufa. Anyways, I ordered the fried calamari but didn’t end up eating since my appetite was ruined. The waitress didn’t make an effort to fix anything and disappeared for a good while chit chatting with the female chef. We were the only ones at the restaurant at 9 pm last night. We asked for to go boxes and received them. We waited another 20 mins until my boyfriend got up to look for her to get a bag and the check. Very disappointed with the service and some of the food. The only good food was the fried calamari, papa huacaina and pisco sour passion fruit. I don’t think I’ll return to deal with...
Read moreLadies and Gentleman if you have kids don’t not come here this is not a kid friendly place from no where to change diapers to no space for a stroller or a high chair. The service was terrible I don’t know if it’s because I had a stroller and the place is small or I had my son with me but my party didn’t recieve any of the Cancha they serve while everyone else got some as they came, I ordered Anticuchos and Jalea. The food was good but the service was awful what they did with my Jalea order was the worst I was so upset I paid $17+ dollars for half of dish, we asked the waiter to put the onion lime salad to the side due to my toddler was eating with me due to not having a kids menu which I was fine with that. When they brought my dish it was full and the portion was good but they had served the salad onion on top with the lime we asked nicely to please fix it even thou we had specifically asked to have it on the side , when they brought the second Jalea it looked like they didn’t care to make a new one and took off more then half the dish which had the lime and gave me pieces Of fish and 2 some seafood. For the price and the horrible service I wouldn’t eat here again there are plenty of Peruvian restaurants in Hollywood to have to put...
Read moreMy last trip here I was not pleased with the quality of the food and what they charged for it so , I decided to give them another chance. Today Sunday which it wasn’t busy they have remixed songs sung by various salsa bands blasting through the tiny restaurant and they sing horrible so while you eat you have to listen to this horrible music. Then I came here with an infant the chair was broken and one of the guys came and tried to fix and since it wasn’t fixable my child started playing with piece that holds the chair. I ordered a chicken fried rice and when I asked for an extra scrambled egg in my fried rice I was looked like I was speaking another language. Whoever is the chef need to go back and learn the basics of Peruvian food. Stop playing with the food and stop putting things that don’t belong together. Sea weed and whatever green stuff that taste like mint don’t belong in Peruvian fried rice. Also they charge almost $15 for chicken fried rice but give you tiny diced chicken. I was better off going to la granja which is sad to say but the food in LA GRANJA has more Peruvian taste.I wish I would’ve...
