Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Hollywood

Tried calling at 6:49pm, 11 minutes before close and the phone kept ringing. It was Saturday night and I had looked up their hours and saw they were still open till 7pm. So naturally, I tried again and the phone just kept ringing. So we pulled up at 6:58 and were greeted by a really disgruntled woman, unhappy to see us walk in. We knew why she was mad, we actually work in the restaurant biz ourselves, but her level of fuming was something else. A good employee would just hold it in, smile and give good service, because that's what hospitality is all about. Instead she was vocal about how upset she was. "UNBELEIVABLE" "I GOT TO UPACK THIS FOR JUST ONE SANDWICH" To me, it was borderline comical, like from a movie. She continued to address us in a rude manner, but I wasn't about to respond in anger and make everyone's night worse, I was hungry and just wanted to eat. If she had just picked up the phone and taken the order at 6:50pm, she would have been out at 7 on the dot, instead my intrusion made her leave closer to 7:05pm. Terrible right? How awful of me to come in during business hours and expect a meal. My brother and I were joking that we probably shouldn't eat the sandwich, but I doubt she would have done anything malicious to it to spite us. Lady if you're reading this you need to calm down, practice patience, and realize it's not that serious. You signed up for this job and it's what probably pays your rent, kids schooling, etc. This review was my way of venting and sharing this bad experience in hopes that no one else has to go through this bad Jimmy Johns experience. So yesterday at Jimmy John's is Customer Appreciation Day. Where you get one of their gourmet sandwich for a $1 (Subs #1 - #6).

I guess they forgot the term 'Customer Appreciation Day'. As we walk to the entrance we were greeted and a gentleman writes down our orders and ask us to go inside and hand the cashier the order paper. I politely as the young lady if she can add in extra hot peppers. She rung up the hot peppers. But when we got our subs, I asked the gentleman who was making the subs if there were 'Extra Hot Peppers' in one of the subs. He said no and handed us our subs, he then told me if I want peppers I need to go back to the cash register and pay for it. Then the next employee jumps in the conversation and began to just yap out his mouth with his smirky comments in a rude tone. We then asked if they can tell a manager to come out to talk to him/her. They were kind of hesitant to call the manager. We asked twice if they can call a manager.

The manager was no help when we told him the employees were being rude and with no help. JIMMY JOHN'S HAS A POOR STAFF. The employee and manager should take up a class about Customer Service 101 and learn how to help the customers. Aren't the customers the important ones? Without customers, you'd go out of business!

I was going to give you guys 3 stars, but because of the rude employees I gave you two stars. Then I thought about the manager, who do anything and sound like he was frustrated, caused you to get 1 STAR! If it gave me an option to give you 0 star, I would! I will not RETURN to ANY Jimmy John's...

One day I went to go get jimmy John’s and come back home. I was eating jimmy John’s and I heard a scratch at my door, it was my lost dog that was missing for 1 month. I was so happy thinking it was a coincidence. So I went to work and it was lunch break, I was eating my left over jimmy John’s and my boss came up to me. He gave me a huge raise and I was so happy, I got a little suspicious but didn’t really mind it. So I went to a car dealership and I was looking around for a car, the worker gave me jimmy John’s to eat and I took it and ate it, the owner comes up to me and gives me a free Ferrari because the guy who bought it didn’t come back or respond for 1 year. I was like, it’s the jimmy johns. So I went to the casino to test my theory unit and gambled 1/100 odds on a horse, I put it $100 and started eating jimmy johns. I won the horse race and got so much money. I said “it’s the jimmy johns!” So I put in all my money. Live savings, bank account, credit cards, PayPal and gambled it all. So when the horse race started I started to eat jimmy John’s and I lost. I’m now $1,000,000 in debt and need help. I now live at a rehab and sleep under a bride. Great...
