If you come down to Hollywood FL, be sure to stop at La Sosta, a tiny hidden gem that serves up amazing, fresh, real food.
From the moment you enter this beautiful cafe, you’re greeted and you feel the warmth of the staff. Eric the owner is incredibly attentive as well as his staff. The menu is small but well designed, and their specialty is made to order sandwiches on delicious ciabatta or focaccia bread. I recommend the focaccia.
We tried their prosciutto sandwich with truffle cream as well as the more traditional classic Toscano. The ingredients are fresh and delicious, the bread crunchy yet soft on the inside. Amazing.
So we came back the very next day and tried their off menu special and the giardiniera sandwich. Did not disappoint.
Be sure to check out their matcha lattes. Mango is our favorite. The staff was also super kind enough to let us try a new dessert they’re working on so watch this space as their menu expands. 10/10...
Read moreWe had the Rafaelo Matcha, Italian Latte, Golden Sandwich, and the new Blueberry Tiramisu and everything was absolutely delicious!
The Rafaelo Matcha is a coconut chocolate matcha with a strong, well balanced flavor. The matcha itself has a rich body and isn’t overly sweet. I didn’t get a strong coconut taste, but it was still creamy and flavorful with a lot of personality.
This was my second visit, and even though I wanted to try something new, I had to order the Italian Latte again, it’s just that good! It tastes like a tiramisu in a glass creamy, not too sweet, and perfectly balanced between cocoa and coffee.
The Blueberry Tiramisu was such a nice surprise. It’s sweet, refreshing, and topped with lemon zest, which adds the perfect fresh touch. The cookie layer was a little dry, but honestly, I loved that because it gave me the idea to dip it into my Italian Latte. Game changer! I highly recommend getting them...
Read moreI was a walk-in and did take out. It is a small place located right on Polk Street. The staff was helpful in making a selection of the right matcha. There were about 6. We opted for the Raffaello which is like the white Ferrero Rocher. Top notch matcha. I also had a latte but the star of the show was an incredible ricotta toast on multigrain. They have other bread options as well. It is only one piece so it is pricey, but worth it. I included a picture to show the thickness. I wanted more but then when I thought about it, it really is enough. It had an excellent Italian apricot jam on top of it. Not a really, really sweet jelly, but a superb jam. Highly recommend. They only have toasts right now so there aren’t any eggs yet. I can imagine that sometimes parking could be an issue. There is street parking and if that is full there is a lot around the corner. It was raining the day I went so I didn’t...
