“Oh how the mighty have fallen.” Most people don’t know about the reputation that this particular restaurant at one time used to have. Rickys has been around since before I was a teenager and Back in those days they were absolutely the number one spot for chicken wings. Whenever anybody mentioned rickys it was party time because you knew you were on your way to the best eating in town. I still drop in on the occasion whenever I’m in the area however it gives me great sadness to say that my last visits, this last one in particular, have been the complete opposite of what this once excellent restaurant used to be. I Came with two friends we ordered the clams, steamed shrimp, chicken wings, french fries and onion rings. Now The worst thing that somebody can say when you’re ordering all those delicious items is that the french fries were the best part of the meal. WHAT?! Yes indeed the french fries were the best part of the meal. Specifically they were the only part that were fresh and good. The quality of the food on everything else was very bad. The shrimp was very dry, stiff, bland and far from good. The chicken wings, man what a shame, those things were an insult to the wings this place used to make back in the day. I did like the onion rings even though they were also on the stale side. they seemed old as if they had been sitting for a while but I like onion rings and they went well with the meal. Notice that I left the clams for the last detail? that’s because these clams were so effing bad that they were downright offensive. I regret that I did not ask to have them changed but the restaurant was busy and I didn’t feel like going through the whole thing, so we dealt with it. Also our waitress is a very nice lady who’s been there for many years and I really didn’t want to be complaining too much to her, we were all very tired from a long drive and none of us had much interest in complaining getting things changed, waiting around for everything to get cooked again so we just ate it all and tried to make the best of it. Unfortunately at the end of the meal there really wasn’t much best about anything. I let my waitress know that everything was fine and I tipped her well but the food was absolutely not tasty, far from fresh and nowhere near what the cost of the bill $70 for the three of us with the tip included. I know everything is expensive today so I’m not necessarily complaining about the cost I am more specifically complaining about paying that much money for a terrible food experience. So that’s it another one for the history books and for any of you out there who may have read this far. remember the old saying, “buyer beware” because you never know what you might end up with. I don’t think I’ll be visiting this location again anytime soon and that’s a shame because I always Enjoyed going there...

Spent $73 at the restaurant. We ordered two cheesecakes at the end Of our meal. One salted Carmel the other plain cheesecake. We had already paid the bill was charged in advanced. Both cheesecakes were brought to us the plain cheesecake with our disgusting sour plain cheesecake. the waitress right away. She stated that she cannot give us a refund because we are ready paid him that week if she could only give us a credit for next time unacceptable I’ve been going to this restaurant for more than 10 years. Food isn’t the same as it used to be laughter was overcooked. Don’t know why. But will not be spending my hard hard earned cash at this restaurant again. Noticed that it was very slow and usually it’s always packed and busy. I wonder why!! I was told I could not get credit back on my credit card reimbursement that only credit because the card is already passed through. She told me I had to choose another dessert when my daughter was already disgusted taking a spoonful of that sour nasty cheesecake. Unbelievable. I really feel bad for this restaurant and the service and the food it was never this bad. Forgive my grammar and miss spelling but I am talking to a phone. Owner of this establishment please read these reviews and do something about this behavior and take care of your restaurant And customer service. And train your staff not to state to a customer that they have to choose or get a credit but they’re not able to give a refund for something that was not eaten and that was bad...

I was there last night and the wings were great but they nickle and dime you for everything but the free Popcorn that is so salty you have to buy more beer. Almost $2.00 for celery and bleu cheese with my wings...keep it. I think $.75 for an extra sauce, screw that I will not try it so I guess I will not be telling anyone if it is any good or not. Mon & Tue special on clams..You would think they would be fresh if they were consistently a special every week, nope frozen and tiny. Waitress was nice and at least they have some WAY OVERPRICED "imagine that" old school video games for kids. They actually have the guts to have Ms. Pacman listed at 4 quarters but my daughter says they accept 2. Food is normally good but I hate feeling like they screw me on every turn to get an extra buck or two out of me. Dinner for two adults and k1 kid with one adult beverage $70 with tip 2 10 piece of wings 1 lemonade the rip off celery and bleu cheese my wife got aa basket of fries not cooked as requested and a 1/2 rack of ribs for my little one. Pricey????? Yeah just a bit. It will be a long time till I go back. I do enjoy the wings but not the gouging. I think i'll make them at home from now on.
