Kharacters Alaskan Bar — Restaurant in Homer

It's an ok neighborhood bar that has an ok atmosphere but can be a bit "not my scene." I've been there when they had a DJ on a Friday and it was sort of crowded but not too much. Then I was there when they had a local guy playing his guitar and it was slow and "not happening." The last time I was there, sorry didn't get any pics, was on Halloween and they had a DJ and a costume contest. It was fun but ordering drinks was hard because of how crowded it was...the bartender would point at you and say "go" and you better know what you wanted and say it fast. It did remind me of the bar in Anaheim, CA that I went to when I was married and we'd play pool sometimes. Everything you would expect from a local bar. Good local live music... Happy less than sober folks. The bartender could use an extra hand but is amazingly capable at keeping up with orders. Dance floor could be bigger but it's sufficient....
