My wife and I ate there this Saturday. (Well almost ate there). We got there at 7:10 PM expecting the normal first month long lines. We were please to find only a 30 minute wait for a party of two. That was the highlight of our experience. We were sat down at 7:45 pm. Twenty minutes later no one had stopped by to greet us. My wife had to go back to the front desk to find out what was going on. Ten minutes later a waitress arrived. She appeared to be highly stressed, apologetic, and obviously over her head. She blamed the service delay on the kitchen staff as if greeting her customers was somehow their job. We gave her our drink orders and were told that she would need to check with the bar to see if my wife’s drink was available even though it was on the menu. We tried to put in our appetizer order. I ordered the Gumbo and my wife ordered the Conk fritters. She was told they were out of Conk Fritters so she had to settle for fried cheese sticks. The waitress went off to check on my wife’s drink stating she would be right out with my Gumbo, and never returned. 20 minutes later, not knowing if our drinks were available or not, we asked another male employee, who stated he was a manager, to check on our order. That individual never came back with a reply. An hour and 5 minutes after sitting there, the waitress returned to our table. She advised that the Gumbo would be delayed as they were making it fresh and that she would check on our drink order. One hour 15 minutes after being seated , she returned with no drinks and advised us that the Gumbo was no longer available and that the tap beer I had ordered was not available. Obviously she had never put in our order. We requested to see the manager. The manger arrived 10 minutes later and I explained to him we had now been sitting for nearly an hour and half with no drinks and no appetizers which he immediately recognized as unacceptable. He took our drink and appetizer order which now consisted of fried calamari and fried cheese sticks as they did not have what we went there for. The bar tender came out quickly with our drinks. The appetizer followed about ten minutes later and we immediately put in our food order. Twenty minutes later- two hours into ordeal our food was still not there. Our appetizer dishes were stacked up on the table edge but no one removed them and our drink cups were empty. The manager returned to make more apologies but no food. We agreed to be patient provided we get a refill on our drinks while we waited. Twenty minutes later the manager again returned with more excuses. By that time we had been waiting for nearly two and a half hours and we were hungry. We cancelled our order, paid our bill, and drove to McDonalds were we finally ate dinner there. Good luck if you decide to go there. My wife reported her drink was on point even if a bit pricey for the area. The fried calamari was over cooked and very chewy. The fried cheese sticks...

I was sharing a beautiful meal with a friend of mine. They even make his favorite top shelf drink, which he and I call Johnny’s Long Island. We felt like we were VIPs. The food was AMAZING and fresh! The scallops, snow crab legs, and headless shrimp were comparable to the amazing Lazy Days an hour away. We finally have something so fresh, so friendly, and so close to home that I can have my father-in-law visit and enjoy! He loves to pay for a great meal, wherever I want to go! He’s so sweet!
