Loved everything about it! The staff is so so kind and welcoming, always checking to make sure everything is enjoyed and to standards. I cannot say enough great things about several of the staff, from the male host (evening) to the waitress, Sam, and a few other passing by that kept checking on me! The polenta fries are perfect for a smaller appetizer, and they even offer half sized salads....Try the panzanella or Heirloom tomato watermelon if it is still featured! Absolutely loved the flatbread that comes with them! The Chilton county peach pizza is a unique twist on an old favorite(*think, Hawaiian style, but 1,000 times better.....and with local peaches....local conecuh sausage and BACON....OH MY!) Lasagna is a great basic go to if you need some real comfort....get extra cheese and then some! Hand squeezed lemonade has perfect balance of sweetness....with lots of pucker....as every great lemonade should! Tiramisu will not disappoint either! Truly a Gem Giani!! I hope this stays around forever! You know how to do food....very well!

Have wanted to try out Pizzeria G.M. for a while, but the wait was always too long when we went. Finally hit the swee spot at 5:30 on a Friday night. No wait at all! Very friendly staff, and an extensive covered patio complete with trees, rosebushes, heat lamps, and fans. There's another patio on the other side, and a waiting porch by the entrance, too! Inside can be a bit noisy, fair warning. Ordered a jungle bird cocktail, fried mozzarella bocconcini, calabrese pizza, and the peanut butter caramel gelato bomba. All were fantastic. The bocconcini were essentially bite-sized mozzarella sticks, and fried crisp but not too heavy. The pizza was perfectly cooked, great crust and delightful combination of fresh ingredients. The bomba came pre-sliced in half (unclear if standard or because we were splitting it). Little pricy, but the quality supports that. ~$60 left us satisfied, but not stuffed. Can't recommend highly enough, and we can't wait to try more of what they have to offer!

Great ambience, plenty of outdoor seating, and an open design on the inside with rustic retro furniture and nice natural wood accents. Service is good but not very personal culminating in a hostess with an attitude that reminded me of insecure freshman students. Polenta fries were interesting but under-seasoned and the aioli dipping tasted as if it came out of a bottle. Pizza with goat cheese, heirloom tomatoes, mozzarella, and micro basil was larger than expected, generously covered, and the plentiful micro basil offered fresh basil taste with every bite. When it comes to the pie itself, the preferences differ. I like slightly burned, thin-crust with big bubbles and a Ciabatta or Baguette flavor. This pie reminded me more of saltines on the crisp outside and of underbaked white bread on the wet inside. Too floury, almost dusty, not enough salt, not enough gluten development to make me happy. 3 stars might be a little low but at $16 for a pie I expect a bit more.i

I have always enjoyed my service here until today . We arrived at 1:45 and were seated, we were warned the kitchen would be closing soon so we didn’t mind ordering fast . I ordered an Italian Sandwich and was asked what side o wanted. I asked what sides were available with my meal. I was told fry’s , chips or a half salad. I ordered the half Brussels salad. My coworker ordered spaghetti and meatballs and a half salad. First problem her salad never came but her spaghetti did. I sat there with a glass of water while she ate for 10-15 min with nothing. My server sensed my frustration and came back to say there was a party of 6 there and my food was taking longer. Keep in mind there were only 3 tables of people there and 1 had there food already so just 2 tables to serve. I told my waiter after I still had no food that if he could box it I needed to get back to work please. Finally my food came and I was charged 4$ for my side that supposedly came with my meal. I did ask why I was charged for my side when I was told to select one with my meal. My sever was nice , this was all out of his hands. He went up to whom I assume was the manager and starting discussions. I walked up with my card to pay as I needed to get back to work . I asked if I was being charged for my side then I would Like the side that came with my meal. The manager was very nonchalant and sarcastic in response. Never did he recognize a delay in even receiving our food nor did he try to remedy the problem other than making me feel like an idiot and belittled me . I told him I knew how to fix the problem , I hand him my to go bag and left. On my way out he was a sarcastic , smart mouth and my employee observed his negative demeanor behind my back. As management his customer service skills are truly lacking and if he were my employee he would be counseled on problem solving and the importance of keeping a positive attitude. He is definitely not good for morale and puts his servers in awkward , uncomfortable situations. This was unnerving as to the lack of concern of us receiving food much less understanding the bill. I’m so disappointed, I have loved this establishment but his behavior and embarrassment make my office doubt to ever come back as long as he’s...

We came in from out of town. Really was excited about this place. Got set down pretty quickly outside. We literally waited 5-7 before we were brought out water and asked what we wanted to drink. When asking for a few minutes to pick an appetizer, seemed like 10 mins later the server came back and took our order. The appetizer came out quickly and the meatballs were ok. I got my plate of food first and then it took about five minutes for the second entree to come out then another 5-7 minutes for the last 2 to come out. My daughter was missing her potatoes ,almost 10 mins later the server to ask if everything came out ok and we told her no the potatoes were missing, but was told by the food runner they don’t have the roasted potatoes, we were confused and the server was telling us something different. So we just order the fries for a replacement. My spaghetti was not good, it was like Fazolio’s, but Fazolio’s was better, the noodles were under done and the sauce tasted out of a jar ( cheap marinara sauce) meatballs were still just ok. Couldn’t even finish it. The server was bad, the food was bad. Very disappointing for paying 100.00, when I could have went through Fazolio’s and had a better meal at a way cheaper price. I’m not sure how this place had a...

I rarely have the time to leave reviews for restaurants but this evening calls for it. I want to publicly recognize our amazing server "Ruth". I will keep the specific details of our mistake to myself, but our table caused a very uniquely specific accident at our table that was completely our own fault. Even though it was not her responsibility to do so, Ruth jumped in unprompted and rescued us from serious embarrassment and handled the episode with grace. As a seasoned server, sometimes you have those tables who just keep having bad luck and this comes with the territory. On this particular night, we were that nightmare table. Ruth was enthusiastic to tell us about dishes that she loved and displayed honesty in politely steering us away from things she thought we wouldn't care as much for, and she did so by asking us all the right questions about our tastes and mood. Diners neither like nor trust a server who proclaims "everything's good" without any thought or transparency. While I'm sure there are a number of great servers at this space, it will be hard for us to ever return without demanding Ruth as a server. Thanks to Ruth for saving what could have quickly turned into a ruined evening (that would have been...
