I came here on Sunday, August 4th, with a group of six. Four of us walked in together, two of us ordered a drink, one friend came in shortly after we picked up our drinks, and another was still in the car getting ready. What happened next was honestly appalling â and unacceptable for any business that claims to care about its customers.
The bartender with purple hair (I believe I heard her name is Stephanie?) refused to serve one of our friends because of a Google review she had written almost two months ago.
After being refused a beer, our friend asked another person in our group to order a beer on her behalf â and Stephanie refused again, saying she âknew who it was for.â It was genuinely immature and uncomfortable to witness. This wasn't about policy. This was about pettiness.
Myself and the other friend who had already gotten a drink immediately closed our tabs â and for the first time ever at this bar, we left zero tip. Thatâs saying a lot, because we usually stay for hours, order multiple rounds, and tip generously. But because of Stephanieâs behavior, the bar lost revenue from six customers that night. Three of the girls had already left, and it was just me and one other friend left to close our tabs.
As we were just trying to pay, Stephanie literally said, âWhy would I serve your friend when she tried to get me fired?â in front of multiple people. First of all... maybe so you can help generate business? Secondly, to get a good tip? And lastly, to help end this weird feud. If you werenât rude in the first place, the Google review (which has since been removed! Unbelievable.) wouldnât have been written to begin with. And newsflash: you werenât fired. So maybe correcting your behavior as a service provider is a better idea than punishing paying customers.
Again, she refused to serve our friend â not because of anything that happened that night (which was calm and respectful), but because of a personal grudge. Then she involved two more people who had nothing to do with the original situation. Thatâs not customer service. Thatâs retaliation.
To make matters worse, as we were walking out, Stephanie threw in a sarcastic jab: âYeah, thatâs why you and your friends are leaving, ha!â Totally uncalled for. My friend calmly turned back and said, âYou donât need to drag us into this. Weâre just trying to leave.â Stephanie called her childish. My friend never raised her voice, stayed respectful, and tried to keep it mature. Stephanie did not.
The next night, five of us planned to return. We were hoping Alicia â who is always warm, friendly, fun, and professional â would be working. But when we saw Stephanie again, we turned around and left. No drinks. No tips. Another night of lost business â again, because of one employee.
Stephanie has every right to refuse service within reason. But holding onto a two-month-old review and using it as justification to target someone â and then berating others who werenât even involved? Thatâs beyond unprofessional.
There are multiple reviews about this bartender behaving this way â and now Iâve seen it firsthand. Iâm not quick to say someone should be fired, but something absolutely needs to change. She clearly doesnât have the barâs reputation, financial health, or customer experience in mind. Whether itâs serious retraining or a new role, management needs to act â because if not, people will continue to walk away.
We came here to support the business, not be caught in one bartenderâs personal drama. This place could be great â but right now, itâs not worth...

Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience at this bar on Sunday Aug. 4th, due to unprofessional behavior from one of the bartenders. My friend was refused service, not because of her conduct that night, but due to a previous Google review she had written â which the bartender openly referenced and said, âshe tried to get me fired.â I remained respectful and neutral during the situation, saying nothing inappropriate to the bartender and trying to honor both perspectives.
However, as I was walking out, the bartender made a sarcastic comment: âYeah, thatâs why you and your friends are leaving hah!â â clearly trying to provoke a reaction. My friend previously had noticed that SFM- short fat Mexican- was written on her receipt and during this one sided argument she doubled down saying âif she wants me to write that on her receipt again I canâ. Truly disgusting in a place of business. I calmly explained that I had nothing to do with their prior disagreement and that involving me was unfair and unprofessional. Instead of diffusing the situation, she doubled down, calling me âchildishâ and continuing to argue while I tried to have a mature conversation.
We came to support the business and enjoy ourselves, but left feeling disrespected. Sadly, this isnât the first time Iâve noticed poor treatment from staff, especially toward customers of color. Itâs disappointing to see personal grievances take priority over professionalism and customer service. I hope the management addresses the pattern of behavior among certain bartenders before it drives more...
Read moreWe were looking forward to coming back here. We had their delicious smoked wings one time and we drove an hour away to have more today, but unfortunately, this is what happenedâŚ.
We sat at the bar. We typically order water, food, then a we share a whiskey or tequila. Today, Friday May 16, when we sat at the bar, the female bartender told us that we should sit at the tables because sitting at the bar is typically for alcohol drinking customers. It was the way she said it. Very crabby/rude/ no customer service skills at all, not kind. We were pretty much told to sit at a table because people who sit at the bar typically order alcohol. Little did she know we typically do, just later in the meal, but does that really matter? We were really looking forward to today. We drove out here again for your wings.
Please, Twisted Rail! ⌠please talk to your female bartender that was there Today, Friday, May 16. Very crabby woman in her 60s-ish. It was a very negative experience with her.
On the positive, as we were leaving through the back door after I explained to her that what she did was very rude, we ran into one of your cooks and one of your staff members. He apologized profusely and even offered That he would be happy to cook wings for us. We were very grateful, but we decided to leave. The negative energy behind the bar was too much for us to stay.
Hopefully, next time we are in the area, which is every 2 months, when we come in- that bartender will not be behind the bar or she is glad to serve two waters to guests that sit at the bar. Then we can have your delicious wings that change color! It was great the first time we visited. Thank...
