LOCAL BUSINESS OR LOCAL SCAM I do not agree with how this “scam” is run. They do not inform clients about what exactly is going on with their clothing when consigning. It’s sad because I can see how this business is going down the drain simply since there’s no formal documentation and the lack of curiosity to customers shopping in the store. I had no idea what was going to happen when handing over X AMOUNT OF ITEMS that you have no idea what their doing with, I was told I’d get called. They do not give you any money for larger non clothing items until 3 months later that’s the ONLY thing they made sure to tell me was that it would be three months after purchase date to recieve the amount of my share of my clothes I sold to them. I CALLED A YEAR LATER after reaching out with no return call also when I asked I got laughed at and requested to leave my phone number and not one time did I get a call back. I am so passionate about this because I know this would be a great way of bringing some money into Honesdale but the owner doesn’t seem to care that the “manager” should not be in customer service. Coming from a local to the area, this place is notorious for scamming off consignment items brought to them. Another reason I’m leaving a review(never have on anything but I wish I could give zero stars to this place after my last experience there) is because of the unfriendly, rude staff. Specifically this nasty, miserable blonde clerk with a horrible attitude(some people probably know who I’m talking about).She should not be in customer service whatsoever. She was instantly nasty and unwelcoming the moment my mother and I walked in. She even tried to start a verbal argument about an item that was cash only because it was under $10 and harshly demeaned my mother for not seeing the sign. No kindness in that women or understanding considering your sign is out of view for any of your customers to see. There are far superior shops with fantastic, friendly services on Main Street. I dropped of tons of clothes including beautiful gowns years ago! Before Covid ! This owner (thief) and her nasty co worker ! Still haven’t paid me a dime !!! First couple years she said computer broke down and everything was at home on her table being done by hand that it still wasn’t fixed and takes time when I’d call!
