The atmosphere here is lively which i like, its a bit loud but nothing too crazy. it can get crowded at times so going to dinner early helps. the breakfast deal is one of the best in Waikiki $10 and you get eggs, rice or hash browns, toast and a beverage(orange juice not included) but the lemonade is great! The lunch/dinner menu is good too. We went for burgers and it tasted great but i asked for very well done and there were some parts of the burger that were pink inside. At a cheeseburger restaurant you would expect a very well done burger to not be served with any pink in the meat. Admittedly, I'm picky but never impolite or rude and i have a tendency to never send things back to the kitchen unless its a severe discrepancy. I understand and value the work ethic of the staff and i tip generously. But if i order my food a certain way, I'd like it to be done correctly and i don't need the server to be sarcastic. I apologized before ordering and explained i wanted to make some changes to the item and she said "okaayyyy", that's when she rolled her eyes , mind you, with a fake smirk on her face. I ignored that and i ordered my Ali'i burger very well done, extra crispy bacon, egg over hard, no onions. Very important to me is the fact that im allergic to shellfish, and since the restaurant cooks shrimp, i told her about my allergy and she sarcastically she said "anything else?" while ever so slightly shaking her head. I was disappointed at that because overall I witnessed her taking other orders and she was very friendly to everyone else. She's one of those servers that is sort of big and loud and uses "baby, sweetie, or honey" with everyone. That is my favorite type of server. But she didn't like the way i ordered my burger i guess. We still tipped her about 20% just because the order (other than a bit under done on the burger) was correct, it was served quickly and she checked on us. Normally we would tip more. I'm not sure she realized she was being rude but its uncalled for and she could benefit from some training. Only other negative is the tables need to be wiped in between customers, our table and others were dirty with crumbs. Even if its busy this...

During my recent visit to Waikīkī, Honolulu, I had the pleasure of dining at Cheeseburger in Paradise, and I must say, it was an experience that exceeded all my expectations!
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm aloha spirit that instantly made me feel at home. The tropical, laid-back atmosphere perfectly captures the essence of Hawaii, making it an ideal spot to relax and enjoy a great meal.
Now, let's talk about the food. I ordered their signature Cheeseburger in Paradise, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The patty was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful, and topped with just the right amount of fresh ingredients. The combination of flavors was truly paradise on a plate. I also tried the sweet potato fries, which were crispy on the outside and soft on the insideāabsolutely delicious!
But what truly made this dining experience memorable was the outstanding service provided by the staff, especially our server, Joe. Joe was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that our meal was perfect. He took the time to recommend dishes, checked in regularly without being intrusive, and even shared some local tips that enhanced our Waikīkī experience. It's rare to find a server who is so genuinely invested in making sure guests have a great time, and Joe certainly delivered.
Overall, Cheeseburger in Paradise is a must-visit when you're in Waikīkī. Whether you're looking for a fantastic burger, a refreshing drink, or simply a place to unwind and soak in the Hawaiian vibes, this place has it all. And if you're lucky enough to have Joe as your server, you're in for an extra special treat!
Mahalo to the team at Cheeseburger in Paradise for an unforgettable dining experience. I can't wait to return on my next...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSpecialising in Cheeseburgers, this place is close to the main action on Waikiki beach.
Entry is directly off the main street and the entrance is wide with good table spacing. It's all on one level so the disabled score is excellent.
The menus are simple and easy to follow. If you're not interested in a burger, there is other, fairly standard fare available.
I had their signature cheeseburger and my wife had fish tacos. The food took a little while to arrive but the restaurant was quite busy. Initially I felt that the portion size was a little smaller than expected, especially for a signature dish but we didn't leave hungry, so it was fine.
Their burgers are all served "medium' which is fine and they come with fries, which were hot and nicely seasoned. Ketchup is provided for you to sauce your own burger to taste.
The fish tacos came as a plate of three and were tuna. The fish was fresh and they tasted good. They included diced tomatoes as a topping and sliced jalapeno was provided.
Soft drinks (sodas) are bottomless and cocktails, beers and spirits are also available. There's a bar in here as well as normal seating. The cocktails are generous servings and are quite nice. They are a little different owing to some of the pina colada ingredients being processed locally.
Pricing is appropriate relevant to other local establishments.
Service is good. The waiter noticed that I was having difficulty getting sauce out of the container and appeared at my side with a replacement in seconds, this is pretty good.
Atmosphere is loud. They have a lot of music which is fine and unfortunately a barmaid who was gossiping for some time with patrons a few feet away at a much higher volume than the music.
Highly...
