🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
From the moment I stepped into Kai Coffee Hawaii, nestled in the bustling heart of Waikiki, I knew I was in for an exceptional coffee experience. This isn't just another coffee shop; it's a haven where the aroma of world-class coffee blends with the essence of true Hawaiian hospitality.
As a coffee aficionado, I've savored cups across the globe, yet Kai Coffee Hawaii stands out with its masterfully crafted beverages. Each sip of their coffee is a testament to the passion and expertise that goes into selecting, roasting, and brewing their beans. Whether you're after a robust espresso or a delicately balanced pour-over, the quality here is unparalleled, providing a complex array of flavors that dance on the palate.
What truly sets this coffee joint apart, though, is its atmosphere—it's chill, it's relaxed, it's like stepping into a serene pocket of paradise amid the excitement of Waikiki. You can feel the island pace slow down as you take a seat, the stress of the outside world melting away with the music that gently fills the space. It's an ideal spot for a morning pick-me-up, a mid-day meeting, or a leisurely afternoon escape with a good book in hand.
But let's talk about the heart of Kai Coffee Hawaii—the staff. The team here doesn't just serve coffee; they serve smiles, stories, and an infectious warmth that makes you feel like ohana (family). Marcus, Anela, and Piko are baristas who don't just remember your order—they remember you. Their attention to detail, from the perfect latte art to remembering your name and your preferences, is remarkable. These three stand out as not just amazing baristas but as ambassadors of the Aloha spirit.
Marcus, with his expert knowledge, can guide you through the coffee menu with the skill of a seasoned sommelier, making each visit an educational journey through the world of coffee. Anela, with her bright smile and genuine interest in every customer, creates a welcoming environment that turns first-timers into regulars. And then there's Piko, whose energy and enthusiasm for crafting the perfect drink are nothing short of contagious.
Kai Coffee Hawaii is more than just a place to grab a cup of joe—it's an experience, a community, and a highlight of Waikiki. Whether you're a local or a traveler just passing through, this coffee sanctuary is a must-visit. For those seeking a coffee experience that's as rich and memorable as the islands themselves, look no further than Kai Coffee Hawaii, where every cup comes with a generous pour of aloha.

Read moreWe visited for the first time this past weekend and ended up going back the next day. It’s a small and busy coffee shop, but it doesn’t stop them from being kind, personable, and helpful. We were extremely impressed watching the barista quickly and skillfully make multiple espresso shots, steam milk, clean nozzles, and make beautiful latte leaf designs on drinks pretty much all at the same time. On the first visit, we tried a flat white, Kai latte, ultimate breakfast sandwich, and strawberry banana Nutella crepe. We got to watch the crepe being made, which was cool too. Everything was delicious and we were especially pleased with the espresso. We both came to the realization that our usual Starbucks isn’t very great espresso lol. The Kai latte is made with their own macadamia syrup and was mildly sweet and not overly flavored. The sandwich and crepe were both awesome. Most of our day 2 order was the same, but I decided to try an oat milk latte. Despite being dairy free, the latte wasn’t bitter or acidic tasting (which I’m used to at Starbucks). One of the best things about Kai Coffee is that they offer decaf espresso, which is hard to find at most coffee shops. As someone who is sensitive to caffeine, I deeply appreciate it. We purchased a bag of coffee beans and are excited to try them! My only suggestion is to also sell decaf...
Read moreGood coffee , good selection, beautiful location.
However, they don't have wifi which is weird for a cafe in 2022, especially in a developed country.
The local coffee is priced well for the business , location, and competition. I pay similar prices at other cafes in the area. However other items, such as the croissants are so small and $6. So overpriced. It's a weird way to take advantage of customers. A 6 dollar palm-sized croissant? Come on lol. You know you can't say ONE croissant is worth that much in ANY COUNTRY.
Other things though like the acai bowl is about the same price as other places around here more or less. Although, the acai bowl for almost $12 is for sure smaller portion than other cafes in the area for same price. Either way, still nice option.
I guess maybe the no wifi is to make sure customers are in and out in this busy location instead of encouraging customers to linger and be on their laptops. Makes sense business wise however I live here and often do my work in cafes, this was my first time coming here and even though the coffee is GREAT, I don't recommend this location for fellow digital nomads unless u have your own hotspot.
Will be nice for a Tinder date or quick coffee and bite before you hit the beach.
The workers by the way were super nice and...
